Someone posted a photo of Rockness tonight on twitter but as I'm on my phone I cant link. The main stage is up and suposedly the big blue one is much much smaller than last year. Possibly half the size ... Oh dear. Doesn't look good in regards to ticket sales.

Think I might be the only one enjoying the fact its smaller! Im used to T so maybe im just looking forward to change but I also think each act will be more intimate. Cannot wait for above and beyond, and ben howard in that tent. Does anyone have a rough idea how many tickets were sold this year to last year?

tents dont look any smaller to me to be honest.

sales are much poorer though as I wrote in a previous thread son of one of the reps of a major sponsor has said sales are worse than last year, hence this is the last year.

Just been for a drive by the site it's deffo the smallest I've ever seen for a rockness, the gem voice is sitting partially on the hill, the main is As good as touching the hill, it just seems way too condenced in to one space, :(

    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
