Archived topics

Is there a way to find old topics that have been archived? They don't seem to come up in the search.

I've been asked to sort-of-DJ at a friend's wedding next year and remember there was a thread on that a year or two ago, that might be rather useful.

Until a recent software upgrade sometime earlier this year, there was no archiving feature to these forums, so to keep them running at a decent speed at the busiest times meant deleting the older topics - so many have been lost over the years, sorry.

There's now an archiving feature, so now topics won't get deleted. Anything that is within the archive can definitely be found with the search feature here.

If you go to the advanced search options you you choose whether to search in live content or the archive.

if you use the 'search' box towards the top right of the page it searches both the live topics and the archive.

I didn't see the advanced search last night; still no luck sadly, but not to worry. I sense a new thread may be coming!
