1) Where are Monty & The Butchers??

2) What drinks will be at the bar? The website says real ales (and shows a lager?!?), and my mates are huge real ale drinkers so they must not be disappointed.

3) Good to see the limit of bring-yer-own has gone up from 12 to 18 approx, aka ''an amount of alcohol deemed by the organisers to be for personal consumption only.' Could I let the organisers know here that my personal consumption at festivals is a little beyond the upper limit? But if there are real ciders I will be assiting at the bar.

Blast from the past there! :)

We'll have Triple fff Brewery involved again, and there's some talk about Wychwood as well

don't worry real ale will be present at the main bar, school bus will be a bit more cocktail orientated, and the 2nd Stage Bar is a mini version of the main bar (minus real ales)

We don't like to be to hard and fast with the limit otherwise you'd never get everyone through the gate with all the "discussions", we don't take the piss with bar prices though and don't expect everyone else to take the piss with the alcohol they bring in and I'm sure as you say you'll be propping up the bar at some stages too,

Just read there will be a cash-machine for the first time this year. How much will the charges be? having been robbed at the last fest I went to, want to go the insurance route this time.

(Assume there will not be lock-ups).

BTW, anyone up for an efest meet-up beyond 3 of us old gits?

£2.75 a withdrawal. That's set by the operators, and unless we process a bucket load of transactions it's going to cost us a lot too.

Sorry to hear about your last two experiences. Hopefully not at Blissfields in a couple of weeks though

£2.75 is OK for a one-off. IMO thefts happen only on the first night if at all. Although as there's two first nights for Blissfields, Friday night could be vulnerable too. Have you had much in the way of thefts in recent years? Recall nothing from my previous visits, albeit 5 and 6 years ago.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
