Well, city passes paid for, mobile app uploaded. In two weeks time we'll be thinking about making the journey down to the festival site to collect our wristbands (assuming there are no really serious flight delays - of, like, 24 hours or more - haha!). Has anyone got any good recommendations of bands, etc., that we might want to check out before we set off?

Anyone know if the 2 day city passes allow free entry to a spa? The two week one only allows one free entry this year (unlimited last year). Trying to figure out if I'd be better off getting a 13 Day (29 Euro) one or 4 x 2 day (36 Euro) ones (only in Budapest for 8 Days)so we can go to the spa 4 times for free!

Everyone want some really good news?

According to the app, main stage (and outdoor stages in general) finish at 2200.

What a load of shite if thats true.

I visited Sziget last year but all this -2, -1 stuff for some reason gets me really confused with days- I have already booked our flights home one day later than I meant to as I thought there was still stuff on on the 13th! Pretty sure I didn't mean to give us a day extra on the end but never mind, extra day in Budapest :)

However, my query is that I see on the site that there is the "day of the Hungarian song" on day -2 i.e. the 5th, but a camping pass does not get you in until the 6th. Is this just a little something for the people that have paid the small amount extra to come for that extra day and get a good spot (or even the day before that I can see!). Did this happen last year? The day with Prince last year was the equivalent of metal day this year, am I right? I think I have it right in my head but discovering that I didn't book the flight I thought I did has me doubting myself!

yeah ive bought 6 2day passes for me n my friends so we get more free spar passes :P

and the days confused me alot to start with, the main fetival is from wednesday-monday, metal day is on the tuesday, if you have a 7day camping pass you should be able to get in on the monday, apparently theres stuff going on on the saturday and sunday as well i think

Apparently, there are various exchange points where you can exchange the vouchers for a wristband. Somewhere earlier on this thread there is a posting explaining it all.

Hey guys

Does anyone know much about this Ostfest Pre Party at A38 on the Sunday? Tickets were 6.50euros but I assume as they are not on the official site anymore (from what I can tell.) that they are sold out?

If so (it's a long shot :) ) does anyone have a spare one going? I'm meeting friends in Budapest on the Sunday and I appear to be the only one who missed out. Don't really fancy a night on my own in the hostel :S

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that when I went on the official site to buy our city passes it did actually say that the A38 Pre Party was sold out - though it doesn't make that much different for us cos we don't arrive until the Monday!

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
