Decided that we are going to give creamfields a try for the first time. Been to glastonbury and V and loved them both.

Just read on here about the trouble last year. Is it really that bad?

What can I expect and where is best to camp

Thanks

Was my first time at Creamfields last year, we done the whole weekend camping and we couldn’t wait to return this year! I went to V the weekend before for the day and it didn’t even have a patch on Cream in my opinion.

I can honestly say I didn’t see any trouble last year, I heard the stories but saw nothing. I felt perfectly safe. Seems security in standard camping went a bit wrong but in hospitality was fine, wristbands always checked and bags always searched. Only criticism was that the bags were not even slightly checked on the way in. But I think it will be stepped up this year after all the negative feedback.

You are always going to get the people who are out to start trouble and who are not going along for a good time and the music, it’s the same at any festival.

It was one of thee best weekends I have ever had and I can’t wait for August!!!!

Yer we were in the hospitality camp site and they sold out last week. My cousin was in standard camping last year and had no trouble what so ever and he is returning this year, plus the standard camp site is huge!!!

I think it just the luck of the draw, everyone round us was great we all looked out for each others stuff and we are even meeting up again this year. I think you would be very unlucky to go and find that sort of trouble again. There are always ganna be some idiots in such a big crowd, the stories from last year were awful but don’t let that put you off!! Honestly it’s such an amazing weekend im literally counting the weeks.

Also if you’re a bit concerned some people on here do a Group Camp, maybe check that out. Few threads below.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
    • Yup and they aren't all going to get them, some are going to miss out. Speaking of this, I met someone at RIP who went to RFP and his view was band wise it's value for money but it wasn't a festival itself he'd be rushing to return to. In fairness as well he probably liked more of the headliners there than me this year whereas I was more undercard and he wasn't returning.
