Big stages sound

I don't know if it was just the bands I saw this year, but I thought the sound quality on the Pyramid and Other Stages was absolutely bloody tremendous - better than I ever remember it being. (I've been going since 2007.)

The first band of the weekend I saw was Metronomy on the Pyramid - we got a spot right down close, just to the left of the stage, and almost immediately regretted it because I thought the bass might rupture an eardrum.

That basically set the tone for the big stages over the weekend. Chemical Brothers could probably be heard in Bath, Elbow sounded magnificent and QOTSA sounded about 1,000 times better than they did at Reading a couple of years back.
