Oooo, tis true: "F a b i o C a p e l l o" definitely becomes "Postman Pat" if you leave the spaces out  A distinctly weird WTF moment and all that. I'm not even remotely into footy but presumably there's a joke trying to get out there or something

Now ... if only I had a black and white cat handy then I'd post it as well !

I started to type out my Friday from last year and I decided it was easier to link my blog with a full report:

http://jonctrask.wordpress.com/2010/07/09/glastonbury-friday/

A few things have really stuck with me since then, I've seen Bonobo and Gorillaz in LA...I listen to the Bees and Hot Chip often. So, I totally opened up to some new bands that I now really enjoy.

It was overall an amazing day and I've even gotten over the slight annoyance with the shouting drunks....:)

Great memories, fun to recall it all.

I feel an action replay of Sat 2010 coming on tonight: The full 90 live and unedited minutes of PSB, a particularly good selection of 3 for a fiver £4 ales from ASDA and not only but also, all the necessary bits and pieces for a DIY Growler to munch on afterwards ! Dress code will be nice 'n' clean (not even remotely wet 'n' muddy :P) boots, shorts, 2010 wristband plus millinery of your choice of course  Kick off 2215 sharp !

After mucho Growler enjoyment around midnight, I rather suspect there might just be a strange and unexplained shift in the space/time continuum meaning that it will suddenly be 2200 hours all over again and therefore almost time for the complete live helping of Muse to start :D

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
