Nick Warren is DJing in the Rabbit Hole on Thursday and Pussy Parlure on Friday according to an interview online:

“I’ve moved away from the main dance stage as I didn’t really enjoy it last time, so on Thursday I’m playing The Rabbithole, which is a club for about 200 people in the side of a hill, like something from Alice In Wonderland. Then on Friday I’m playing a cosmic disco set in the Pussy Parlour, so it will be nice to do that kind of thing too.”

I have never been in the rabbit hole before so what I would like to know is is it just like a tent where anyone can wonder in and out or do you need to know some secret rabbit password to gain entry?

Also I am looking forward to some cosmic disco style stuff from Nick on the Friday such as this (please feel free to add any cosmic/space disco/aeroplane type shit! :) )

The rabbit hole is somehwhere we ventured to during the day last year and Florence Welch ran past dressed like a fairy!

A couple of bits i remember about other peoples experiences, passwords have been used in the past, where you get this from i don't know, one year you were allowed entry if you had a carrot!

There are two entrances through large cat flaps, one takes you into the club, the other takes you back outside again.

If you You Tube the Rabbit Hole you will get a flavour for it, after beeing there during the day this year and hearing snippets about the evening im going to see if i can get in this year, and the dress wear is pretty mad!

its a smallish white tent up past the park stage (i think),which stays open long into the night

has various folky bands playing whenever ive been in it and then theres a flap of some sort you've to climb under to get into the actual rabbit hole where i imagine nick warren will be playing.you've to answer a mystery question to enter the back bit i remember.plus theres loads of people wandering round in fancy dress.quite the fun pplace!

There are two Rabbitholes - a Rabbithole within the Rabbithole, if you get what I mean. The smaller one is accessed through a rabbithole inside the Rabbithole (bear with me here!) and usually you have to answer a simple riddle to get in. This is the stage that mostly has acoustic style acts. The main tent also has a stage, and you can simply wander into this one. I'd imagine that's where Nick Warren will be playing.

The Rabbit Hole stage is a tent at the top of The Park. We stumbled on the secret club after watching 'Elvis - the real one' (brill) there on Thursday night. The Mad Hatter was the doorman and was handing out carrots, but you didn't need one to get in. The entrance was to the right of the stage behind a curtain. It WAS a rabbit hole. You had to get on your hands and knees and crawl through a winding tunnel lit with fairy lights. You eventually emerge into a club, with a raised underlit dancefloor, DJ booth, bar, toadstools and....its own loos out the back! We were greeted by a very tall tranny dressed as Alice and the Queen of Hearts who stood astride the entrance prenetding to give birth to people emerging into the club. We stayed there far, far too long......aiming to head there again this year!!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
