Please can someone give me some information about this festival.

How long is it on for?

Is it camping?

is it friendly enough?

what is the capacity of the festival and is it easily accesable if I didn't camp?

I've never even heard of this festival before but the dance line up looks great!

Ah ok, thanks for the reply.

That means I won't be going as the only way I can afford it is to get the three month in advance cheap train fares.

I appreciate the secrecy but must admit that is a little extreme in my humble opinion!

revkev - there's no 'border control' between the camping and the music - but you're limited as to how much you can take in with you initially. Can't remember the limits, but it worked well for us last time.

I'm considering going Boomtown 2011. Just wanted to ask a question. Is there a heavy police/security presence? I went to Secret Garden a couple of years ago and you were herded through security gates, searched and greeted by snarling police dogs every time you wanted to walk between the campsite and the main festival area. It was a complete atmosphere killer and it was all really intimidating. Is there anything like that in place at Boomtown? Thanks!

nope, my bags didnt even get searched going and the camp and the arena/town area just merge into one.

yea i get what you mean, it was one of the best times ever last year.

im rather upset bout caravan palace, but im sure they will get someone equally as good.

i tried to get all my mates to come and get tickets but they all failed me and i only have one mate coming now and thats only cause i did the same and got two eager beaver tickets.

i hope so bad its even more awesome this yr

I know were Boomtown is going to be held this year (local farmer/business man told me) and also know that the local bus is patchy, is there going to be any bus laid on from the town or train station ?

P.s. dont ask me to tell you the venue !!

Yea, thought that might be the case. It's more for Thursday night then anything as Ill need to get of work early depending onwhat time it's starting.

not long to go now!

bit worried about the venue though as I went to a well known dance festival at the same place about 10yrs back and being a bowl it became a swamp with the slightest bit of rain
