One of the most annoying things about this years Leeds was that I didn't take a f**king camera :(

So I was just wanting to start off a thread where people can post any great pics they might have from this year, whether it's pics from the campsite or pics of the acts, post 'em up so we can all have a look!

According to my folder I took somewhere in the region of 700 pictures of the whole weekend so it would be nigh on impossible to post them all on here but I'll post a few of my favourite ones. Out of a 4gb SD card I only used 1.2gb, and I feel ashamed. Didn't take any of the campsite though funnily enough - just the bands. To be fair, for the vast majority of the festival we got a lot of really good spots so there wasn't much of that taking-pictures-from-50-miles-away-and-only-getting-a-badly-zoomed-and-blurry-picture-of-somebody-I'll-never-be business - I think that only happened with Guns N Roses. If we stayed in the position we were in when we got there to see them, we would have had hundreds of amazing pictures because we were about 2 rows from the front but we moved back a bit more to where the crowd was a bit less abusive and w*nker-ish.

Anyway...

Yeah, Peter Jackson couldn't digitally render an orc uglier than Axl.

I looked up at the big screen the first time he came on it and had to squint my eyes to check and see if it was him. Still, the music was good and he was only about 20 minutes late so I was happy. Didn't think much of Dizzy Reed and DJ Ashba's filler/wardrobe change solo, and I laughed my arse off when I saw how many people left after Sweet Child O' Mine but they were the only main negative aspects of the whole gig. Probably could have been longer and I'm with Axl on the curfew thing - especially when I left the arena and noticed the Relentless tent plodding along.

    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
    • I dunno - I thought that initially but I'm, reluctantly, edging towards not happening as it stands. Will continue to dig where I can, though.   Re 2028 - I wouldn't be confident. If this is the second time they've tried and it's gone belly up, it could be a case of just write it off.
