I've been to Leeds quite a lot and still love going there as it's my kind of music and I have a good group of mates that I go with, but I'd definitely recommend giving Glasto a try. Don't expect it to be simply like Leeds without the idiots though as the vibe is completely different. It's a lot more chilled out and there's a lot more to do besides the music so if you're the kind of person who likes to explore new places, meet new peope and have new expriences it'll definitely be for you.

If you're not sure about it, and you only have the money for one festival, you should try doing what I did this year and sign up as a steward with oxfam. I did Glasto and Download for free with them, and paid for Leeds, and I only missed about 3 hours of music at Glasto cos of working and got an extra 2 days camping with mates. Plus you help earn £600k for charity!

What everyone has said about Glasto is true, people are so nice there. We lost so much stuff between us this year (a bag, my car keys, my oxfam ID, some shoes, a very drunk mate) and all of these were returned to us by various nice people, such is the vibe there!

Having said all this, Leeds was a lot better on the last night this year where we were camped (red c), and Download is always an option if you like heavier music and less trouble. But I would definitely encourage you to experience Glasto at least once as there's something very different and completely amazing about it.
