Why I won't be going to Creamfields again...

This year I went to Creamfields on a day ticket, mainly to see Tiesto do his thing. Last time I went was 2008.

Once there the vibe seemed abit vacant-there wasn't really a friendly atmosphere like at other festivals. At the bar waiting for drinks there were alot of people around me being aggressive with each other and yelling. There were several people threatening to start fighting in just the few hours I was there. When I went to see Calvin Harris on the main stage I noticed that the sound was poor-especially the bass.

Don't get me wrong-I really enjoyed Tiesto but people around me were talking constantly talking which ruined the moment for me. Not only that but the set Tiesto played YET AGAIN did not include any of his classics like Love Comes Again, Traffic, Do You Feel Me etc etc, all the songs I wanted to hear! I don't understand why he doesn't play these classic Tiesto tunes. Maybe I just wasn't f*cked enough (just drinking) but something was missing and had that feeling all the way home. This isn't a rant-it's just my opinion

Totally agree with your point about Tiesto. I was hoping for some classics, at one point I was actually thinking is he actually not going to play Adagio for Strings?

It was called the "Kaliedoscope" stage though, so I presume thats why it was just stuff off his new album.

He was still excellent though, just a few classics would have made it even better!

People are saying on facebook he did start to play classics right towards the end but sounds like it was one or two like Adagio For Strings and Silence. I mean, he has a wide range of amazing tracks spanning 3/4 albums! From what I can remember he played only 2 songs I recall from the new album. The rest sounded like remixes. I really ejoyed the sweet deposition remix and the faithless one. Overall he was still excellent but was disappointed by lack of his own tracks from past albums. I would have liked In The Dark, Love Comes Again, Traffic, Do You Feel Me, Sweet Things, Everything, Just Be etc etc

I could think of many reasons not to go again

too many chavs

rip off when inside the arena

shm tent was ridiculously packed, couldnt get in whatsoever main reason of going - should have been put on the main stage

The problem with Creamfields is that it is always going to attract scally types year after year-who are generally aggressive, inconsiderate and robbing types. Not the crowd I like. It is a shame that dance music attracts such types to Creamfields and ruins it for nice people

    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
    • A couple of OR's crew and band have posted Barcelona pics.   HYYPPPEEEEE
    • That's what I was thinking, but with GC ticket sales looking good atm, I cant imagine download would pull off a blink, avril, GC top 3... when has this forum ever pulled off a prediction like that anyway, it won't happen will it 😂
