Does the average 22 year old? What about unemployed person? So I should move out and get a council house just on the off chance anyone thinks I'm burdening my mum, I should pointlessly burden the state?

Now let's look at it this way. Currently unemployed with £52 a week and no more, which is used to buy all the food I eat and everything I do.

So I'm clearly not living off mum, but simply living with my parents. I don't recieve money from them, I in fact pay them money.

What would you do with your 18-22 year old daughter?

If I was unemployed at my age living myself would I have a mortgage? Then take into account the benefits I'dd get for everything else.

Besides, all of they things would be the same if I was there nor not.

Someone should talk to my step brother - 35 years old and living with my dad and his wife. Doesn't have a job and the only job he has ever had was working in his mum's shop. He got married earlier this year and his wife has now joined him at my dad's. Dad is not happy as he toild him he would need to get a job and support his wife. But he still hasn't and his mum won't make him do anything. On top of that he got a £250 driving day for his birthday. I got a card yesterday from my dad with £20 in it. Now i'm not complaining about the 20 quid as I don't mind, but surely it should be the same for all the children.

On the plus side i think his wife will go out to work as soon as she can, she is a sensible girl, but what happens when they have children? my poor retired dad will have to share his life with his step son and his family too. :angry:

See this is where the dumb bit comes in...

Someone is providing and funding a roof over your head... Its not just about the food you eat and the things you do. Do you not turn on the heating ? run a bath ?...

If I was unemployed and living on my own, with increased benefits being an obvious point to make, what would the difference be on what I have to pay out?

Given that the heating, water, etc would be the same if I was there or not, considering I pay a bit towards that, surely my parents are better off with me there?

Now that's dealt with, if my parents funded my lifestyle I would be living off them. Considering they don't them that means I'm not.

Are you going to continue being stupid or will I put it down to sleepless nights?

yeah, he must share the shower with his mum :P

adult shares house with parents and pays £200 in digs. that is contributing.

adult has own flat and pays £500 rent, and other bills of about £300 quid. that is paying their own way.

Also, he is on job seekers... He is apparently paying for all his own food... So £51.85 a week - ALL his food (£30 ?) - doing stuff (£10 ?) = £11.85 left for his mum ?

I call shenanigans :)

i was looking a while ago in livingstn and the cheapest was about £300 but that was shared accomodation. so pointless for me, i'd rather share with my folks than complete randoms.

cheapest decent place here is about £500 for a single bedroom flat.

Jesus christ, surely you can go and have sex with your wife or something rather than talk over my personal financies. Ampersand - you can do the same but with your hand.

On a side note - Yes you can get rent for under £400. I'm looking at several places in Glasgow that works out much much cheaper than that.

      sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.

      Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.

      I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…

      Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
