Prodigy Milton Keynes 2morrow!

its an affectionate name he has for his new found fans...he hasn't always said it.. it used to be "where's the f'kin voodoo people" I've been a fan for 20 years but never thought i would see the day where i could be pissed off with the prodigy. tunes are as always, top class but maxims patter is piss poor.

I cant listen to this "warriors " shit any longer either. Yes I understand the need for new blood but they seem to have completely forgotten who got them there in the first place. maxie boy needs some new chants other than " if you aint hear, you aint nobody" and " cant hear ya".... same old same old..............................hence the reason I went to see Carl Cox at Pish in the park this year instead of one of the finest techno bands ever.........

must say Prodigy were on top form made better that we got in the front pit without wristband just asked the bloke if could go in and he said yes if go in now (as it was quite empty and tbh stayed empty for all set so cue dance space :D)

was so sure about rest of day but enjoyed Chase n status who never seen before, enter Shikara not bad and Pendulum is begining to bore me as it very is the same song for an hour so if you don't get caught in the atmosphere it just doesn't work...

Must say still sick from gig though as got half the field in dust in my lungs which is proving very uncomfortable since and has made me very ill boooo - still great gig glad we went :D

We were to the left of the stage just a lil bit up the bowl so0 the shorties could see. I ain't gonna lie. I was there for the big P and the big P only. Couldn't give a shit about anyone else. Especially ZAne Lowe. If I meet him in real life I shall punch his nose.

Prodigy were amazing. Diesel power had me springing up and down like a kangaroo punching the air. This may not sound starnge to you but bear in mind I am 6ft and 25 stone, standing on a slope I got a fair bit of space around me.

Same for voodoo people and Charly. I was so gutted that they didnt do Spitfire but I was really getting ont he nerves of my friends as I kept depairing that they werent gonna play 'out of space'. until......... the final song of the encore. I nearly pissed myself and went dancing off into the crowd..... well about 8 yards in front of my friends before realising I should dance back.

Awesome.

Though Maxim needs to shhhh down on the warrior stuff and the swearing. Do what you do best and that raaaaaave

Totally agree with Dan R. Was an awesome day and they pulled it off well. Props to Zane Lowe (especially for playing Sandstorm and Zombie Nation! lol) but could have done without Enter Shikari. Apparently the Dub stage wasn't up to much either.

Was possibly the best gig I've been to this year along with Green Day.

    • One problem could be that many of the hospitality packages are already sold out. Unless you’ve a media contact, media organisations normally get a hospitality allocation.
    • I agree on WA taking a year off in 2027. But if they got the call from R&L could see them having a similar August to what Fontaines are doing now. A few random shows + 2/3 other festivals. The festival/LN does seem to love them as well so there is a chance they take a punt.   I did see about Rodrigo potentially doing a stadium in Poland but no clue if that would be 2027 or 2028, I just can't see her at the Fest at all, seems too big in current climate.   If I were to guess the headliners next year I'd go with Fred Again/Foos/Capaldi/Olivia Dean/Biffy or Wolf Alice/Some Rapper, Tems?
    • Ulitimately the “Top 6” or top 2 on a day by day basis work as a collective   You could easily have Foo Fighters and someone else much weaker on a single day   As long as they add up to 3, whether they’re a 2 and 1 or both 1.5s it doesn’t really matter   The Florence- Chase and status day is basically a 1.5 and 1, hence it selling the weakest
