Backpacks

Guest When Jokers Attack

Recommended Posts

Needing a decent sized backpack to carry stuff around with during the day at Glastonbury, Nothing to big though just one that would be suitable for some alchohol, digital camera etc. I am asking this as it will be too late to order one off ebay or online store now, All the ones I have tried to get in my local Argos are out of stock.

Any ideas of there is stalls on site that would sell a backpack then?

Cheers

yes, lots of camping retailers there, but there is a fair amount of dross. You do wind up paying a premium for onsite purchases.

One year I had a back pack break, first replacement also failed. Cosycamper/festival kit had some that were lacking the lumber pads (bit that rests on your lower back and comes round the hips) but that survived OK (and is still in use) so hunt around.

I have found a discerning hunt around the numerous army surplus stalls often delivers better value for money than most of the camping suppliers but I am also a happy customer of the Cosycamper/festival kit stall(they have honcho/ponchos that are waterproof one side fleece the other, lots of shoes/boots and a fair few other bits that are suitably durable).

The 2 places that spring to mind are Millets and Joe Bananas but the first will be expensive and the second may not have bags. But aside from them there are a lot of Army surplus places, Camping shops and also general clothes/market stalls which should all have what you need. Wont be as cheap as the real world unfortunatly though. But shopping with a beer on the go makes it a fun experience.
