Evening All,

I guess for the good of everyone's happiness I'm deciding not to bring the lanterns after all :P

I'd like to point of to some of you that I'm not looking to be the centre of some attention, instead of walking about this year seeing random things; I'd like to contribute to the Glastonbury Magic. Remember, if no-one bothered to contribute then there'd be no Glastonbury. I underestimated how much people would be against the lanterns (whether it be a fire hazard etc) so I'm happy to think of another idea.

I'd like to add however, seeing quotes such as "I'm just someone who cares about the festival and don't like seeing dicks putting it's future in jeopardy" really ignorant.

One of the top contributions to the festival vibe last year for me, was two teenagers who'd found a spot in the Avalon field where a low floodlight cast very long shadows. They were taking it in turns to dance like nutters while admiring the huge dancing shadow.

Then they were stopping passers by and inviting them to take part in the "shadow dancing competition". Inspired. Requires no talent or money.

    • Fantastic news.  Not got our settlement car park pass yet, but this gives me hope that it will arrive soon
    • I think they mentioned it in one and interview that the concept of Passport is one thing that differentiates the Sziget from other festival and encourages to explore the site outside music stuff. I doubt they will get rid of it, they might just be late, like they are with everything else.
