Biffy

I don't confess to be a huge Biffy fan, or to know that much about them, but what I gather is their earlier stuff was a lot heavier than their last two albums - the last two being their most commercially successful.

As a result, they never play anything other than tracks from the last 2 albums which pisses off their more loyal fans.

2 of my mates are obsessed with them, but personally I find their earlier stuff too heavy and not all that great. I much prefer their newer stuff, but I see why people would get a bit miffed that they never play the early stuff for the fans who were there first and supported them before they made it big.

Being the eternal optimist, I would like to say I think think they are gonna be there. I don't have any evidence or anything to suggest this could be true, just a gut feeling.

And the person who said Biffy then Muse can have a hi 5, those 2 back to back would be AWESOME! :P

Hmmm don't think they will be added now. They didn't play last year and have a new album to promote so was quite suprised they weren't on the line up

The only songs I really, really like from Only Revolutions are That Golden Rule and Bubbles, the rest just sound like they should have been b-sides for the singles off Puzzle.

I probably wouldn't see them. I saw them 4 times on their last tour and they only played 1 song off their first 3 albums each show.

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
