With the apparent headliners seemingly weak - Although they all deserve it collectively it's just not cutting it - does anyone else think this might make way for acts with expansive back catalogues to get a place further down the Main Stage bill, rather than just the usual one hit wonders reaping their fifteen minutes, some of which may be quite pricey? Acts such as:

Manics

The Flaming Lips

The Offspring

Soundgarden

Happy Mondays

The Specials

Primal Scream

Super Furry Animals

Weezer

Jane's Addiction

Morrissey

Belle & Sebastian

Bright Eyes

Death Cab For Cutie

Reef

Suede

No Doubt

Rancid

NOFX

The past three years has seen MF/FR capture some really coup-ish headliners in RHCP, Pumpkins, RATM, Metallica and Radiohead but the downside is that the Main Stage has, save one or two bands, mainly been bands who had only recently found success. So maybe with My Chemical Romance, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 all headlining this might give Melvin and co. a chance to get a number of acts that could really add some "meat" to the line-up.

What do you guys think?

I think there will be, but I wouldn't like to predict who. Rancid would be amazing, I can see weezer and the offspring. Flaming lips are headlining green man but people would love that.

Well I just booked tickets to Isle of Wight so this is the first year in 4 I won't be going to Leeds for the weekend.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
