there was an absolutely huge crowd for the chems in 2000. I remember looking back from near the front and being a bit worried about ever getting out! There were near double the legal limit on site by then I think!

Seem to remember reading the Chemical Brothers had the biggest ever Glastonbury crowd in 2000 or something, 110,000 I think it might have said. I could be mistaken though so someone correct me if I am.

I've just read that too, but there's no way that was the biggest crowd - there was plenty of space in that crowd, and there's been as big an area full of people but with less space for many other acts.
