Pavement in California during Glasto

Perhaps unlikely but doesn't completely rule it out, only dates so far for June are that one and Toronto on the 19th, but they're playing Roskilde on the 4th July so gotta come back to Europe.

The California date is the Friday, so possible to fly over on the saturday (google search says 10hr flight)

and play Sunday.

edit: Looking at their tourdates actually, the sole roskilde date sticks out a bit at the moment, that it would probably make sense to get some gigs/festivals around that time (Glasto, Werchter, Open'er, optimus alive, Bilbao live, Exit, Oxegen, T, Benicassim, Latitude, up to 18th July). they're doing quite a few consecutive dates (5 gigs in a week etc) and lack of US dates so far would indicate they'll fill out early June with more US dates, but wouldn't completely rule out Glasto, depending on if they actually wanted to do it. As I said, they've got to get back to Europe sometime in that week.

    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
