couldnt tell you the exact year, or even what stage it was on, but first band seen at glasto for me was about 12 or so years ago. band was Portishead, pretty sure it was a headline slot, and it was very muddy! only spent that one night at glasto that year due to only jus gettin back from a college team building week in the snowdonia range, and i was f**ked! (ye we jumped the fence too ) it then took me near 10 years to get back to glasto! and yes im a full paying punter these days! lol

note : peeps i went with that year were my college buds, we decided to carry the team building thing on for a bit, heh heh, funniest moment was tryin to talk my mate who was scared of heights to jump of the top of the fence, i told him id catch him, but didnt

Thursday in 92, lots of late night soundsystem action all over the Green Fields (especially the Underworld Experimental Field in what is now Shangri-La) and the markets. Every other stall seemingly having a massive rig attached to it. And the lazer from the old milk stall by the neeting point dancing under the mist and haze.

First band was BTTP on the Friday morning, NME Stage. And what a line up on the same stage for the rest of the day; The Moonflowers, Jah Wobble, Flowered Up, The Orb and Primal Scream. That was some introduction to the magic of Glasto.
