Where to stay & what to do Thurs 10th Sept

Greets. Me & my mate are coming down from Leeds on the Thursday and are thinking of camping somewhere near-ish the site (and preferably within walking distance of a pub).

Can anyone recommend:

- campsites (or cheap B&Bs) in the area

- good pubs in the area

- anything that's worth a visit in the area, should we be about during the day on Thursday

I don't mind where we meet up, I've never been to Salisbury before but I'm sure my nose will find where the beer is!!!!

I'll be travelling down from Cheshire, so rather than make a scary early start on the Friday I am getting as far as Cirencester (Travelodge) after work on the Thursday which I reckon will leave me with a civilised drive of about two hours on the Friday morning.
