Who else loved the prodigy on Sunday? I think it was a great, energetic gig and hope they come back some day. It was great the way Maxim was ruling the show with his "All my people!" stuff but when they played Firestarter Keith just took over. Also I like the way Maxim hinted at what the next song would be in his speeking. Prodigy Are Cool! Very cool

Thats just the thing though, Maxim shouldnt be ruling the show, Howlett should, its his f**king gig and his music. After hearing the album when it dropped I thought "f**k me, I can't wait to hear this shit live!".

But at Rockness I thought the sound was in and out and Maxim shouted over the music way too much, and what was with the long pauses in between each tune :)

Don't get me wrong I've been mad for the Prodigy since '92 but the last few gigs I've seen havent been up to much, Howletts lost his spark and Maxim is deadwoodin my opinion.

I thought they were excellent at Rockness but saw the earlier show in April at SECC and thought it was even better. They never fail to disappoint though. One of my favourites was NME stage at TITP a few years ago.

I think if they could get Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and Daft Punk to play over the weekend with a few good bands and dozens of good DJ's in between that would be the ultimate Rockness :D

I thought they were excellent at Rockness but saw the earlier show in April at SECC and thought it was even better. They never fail to disappoint though. One of my favourites was NME stage at TITP a few years ago.

I think if they could get Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and Daft Punk to play over the weekend with a few good bands and dozens of good DJ's in between that would be the ultimate Rockness :D

Seen the Prodigy 4 times in the past year and I thought Rockness was the worst but they still F**king rocked.

Yeah you get a bit sick of Maxim and his sh!t but if you've never seen him b4 he'll wind you up into a frenzy

You know what your gonna get when you go and see them. One finger up at the Law and F**k em!!!

Best i've ever seen them Barrowlands 94/95 can't remember which but oooohhhhhh yeah what a show.

Crazy legs was still with 'em. Just remember stopping at one point looking round and everybody was bouncing secuirity, bar staff, first aiders evrybody!!! :lol:

A pal went to Global Gathering this year and told me that Prodigy played No Good Start the Dance. Even more gutted! Was the tune I was looking forward to. Can't believe they played it there :)

      We'll see. Bristol and Leeds are both massively overdue big public transport investment - 2 of the cities with the worst transport infrastructure per capita in Western Europe. If this works to help support investment projects great and fair play to Burnham.

      The Bródy Day was his idea because Sziget has always been late when it comes to this kind of concert. They would only organize farewell performances or tribute shows after an artist had passed away. Since Bródy is one of the country's greatest singer-songwriters, they wanted to honor him while he is still alive. (He didn't say it exactly like that, but the man is 80 and has just stopped playing large concerts.) He never understood why anyone would focus exclusively on one generation, especially Gen Z, who have less disposable income, drink less, and are, in his words, "afraid of partying." He explained that in the past, people loved festivals because of the nonstop partying, whereas many younger people today find that experience overwhelming or exhausting. That's one of the reasons why Sziget will introduce more chill zones and sensory-friendly spaces. They also want to attract older generations, who are generally more willing and able to spend money. The Sziget Icons days are aimed at this audience, and in the future they hope to create a more balanced lineup that appeals to people over 35 as well.   It was a long interview. If anything else comes to mind, I'll share it.

      Maybe you need a groovy mayor who can get you the money.   Anyway, looks like mayors going to get a whole load of fiscal devolution and greater powers...so best everyone gets one, a decent one, and get a load of Madchesterism.
