Budweiser
Nice couple of songs there. The drummer keeps getting better and better in every album.
rossg123
Potion approaching is cool. They're definately going for a heavier approach; Josh Homme's influence possibly.
RichieSpenno
Loving Hommes presence in the songs.
thomasowen
I don't think people should be reading too much into the Homme connection. He produced 6 or 7 tracks but apparently his role was fairly straightforward and it hasn't resulted in a much heavier sound as some people predicted. I hear many influences in their new stuff but I have to say QOTSA is not really one of them. Edited July 9, 2009 by thomasowen

Sparticus
Really looking forward to arctic monkeys, saw them loads supporting the first album but last time was leeds 06. Seems they've finally got some confidence now, rather than always looking uneasy on stage like they were in the past. Best song out of the lot has to be pretty visitors. dakyras
+1 I dont think i could be more irritated by the repeated and continuous Homme references. I dont care who produced the music and dont care if i can or cant hear something in any of their music. I just want to listen to it and judge it on its own merit. scottt
Potion Approaching sounds like Very Ape. Yeah he's come on leaps and bounds since Million Dead. Much better than that Arctic Monkeys shit.

Explosions_In_The_Sky
So the new Artic Monkey's isn't a sludgefest stoner rock record (a la Kyuss)? f**k that. They've missed a trick there .

hearing_aid
I always feel Arctic Monkeys are locked into thier success. I think they could write something exciting and with a bit of soul but all thier stuff is always lacking for me personally. Its obvious they have talent but I feel it is wasted. dakyras
I always preferred Million Dead to Frank Turner personally.
