The news we will have missed...

For those of us that switch off for 5 days at Glasto, what will have happened when we switch on the TV when we get home on Monday 29th?

No politics please but make your guesses honestly like:

* Jordan will have been on a chat show slating Andre

* Ofcom will get flooded with complaints about Big Brother

* Petrol will be more expensive by a further 7p per litre than it is today (and its already over a quid)!

or completely farcical like:

* Rod Hull found to have faked his death as Emu claims on Twitter

* Tabloid photo of Arnie on holiday shows tattoo across his back saying 'UZI 9mm'.

* Mola Ram survived Temple Of Doom fall and now has a butchers shop in Wales selling (still beating) hearts.

Go for it!

Lol, nice thread!

More than likely something big will of happened on Big Brother, don't care enough to hazard a guess.

Gordon Brown resigns as PM and decides to go down the Joaquin Phoneix route and have a rap career and actually played a secret slot at Glastonbury but no-one saw him.

The 6 people off the missing plane, who call themselves the Air France 6, come back from a mysterious Island where there are smoke monsters and a weird Dharma Initiative stuff.

Richard & Judy move channels, again, to Playboy X, Sky Channel 937

Aliens will invade the earth

Cristiano Ronaldo will sign for Grimsby Town

Roy Keane will come out as a homosexual

Gordon Brown will fake his own death, only to be discovered ruling a tribe of Maoris in Australia two days later.

Seriously, I don't know.

Someone relatively famous will die, no doubt. Always one of those rumours going around the site.

I remember the year Mr Countdown died and no one believed it, I felt quite bad when I heard it on radio 1 on the way home.

Wasn't it 1993 that the rumor was that the PM had thrown a hissy fit and and thown in the towel (John Majors put up of shut up speach) was going round the site, and everyone thought it was a load of tosh?

Hmm

I'm all for having the whole site unable to leave on the Monday morning because of a Suspected Swine flu outbreak on site. We are all under quarentine and can't leave untill at least the 10th of July!

Just me or would Glastonbury be a pretty good place to be if zombies ever did take over? :P Big f**k off fence would be good. Then again if only takes one person to get infected and everyones buggered.

Theres a film in this...

Would'nt be a fantastic way of easing that horrible "its all over for another year" feeling we all get on Monday.

Just as you sit down in the car and turn the radio on to hear that news, that would keep me smiling for a long while.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
