Tents

I dont suppose if anybody knows if there are any restrictions on size of tents and the amount of people you are allowed per tent? i remember last year you werent allowed gazeebos. We took a tiny 2man tent last year and it was way too small once it had all our stuff in along with us. Remember there were quite a few big tents near us but heard earlier today that there is a limit on the size.

Dont suppose if anyone knows if there is any truth in that?

Thanks in advance xxx

As a general rule don't get a tent loads bigger than you need. Just make sure you have enough room for the people and the stuff. Plus large 8 man tents etc tend to be rather pricey - you'd probably be better off getting several 3/4 man tents next to each other.

There are restrictions, some friends of ours had a 12 birth tent and were asked to move from red camp site and had to go to Gold were it was quiet, there is also a height restriction so no marquees and Gazeebos but again we took one in 2006 and was ok, but again we camped on Gold.

It does say in the terms and conditions,

We had a tent last year a 9 birth and it had metal poles, before they let us on the orange site they stopped us and asked us to have alook at the tent and the height of the poles, they came and checked after we had put it up and it was not that big.
