must say for me this is by far the best line up yet. i last went in 2007 which was amazing but didnt go last year as the line up wasnt all that. the verve, headline act, please!!!

anyway as i was saying the line up this year is awesome already. the killers smashed it in 2007 and im sure they will do again. and oasis speaks for itself. got my tickets on friday and i cant wait.

with over 50 more acts to be confirmed was just wondering what everyone thinks they will be..

are we getting anymore big acts?? not that im greedy of course

personally i would love to see these playing: artic monkeys, the twang, the courteeners, kings of leon, pidgeon detectives, scouting for girls (for the missus :P ) the editors, kasabian.. i could go on.

please post your responses and any other acts u would like to see.

only 164 days to V...lol

I would take Verve over a lot of other bands any day - they were superb last year, the atmosphere was something I've never felt before,

did u not feel the atmosphere when the killers played in 2007?? ive never seen a crowed react to a song like they did when they played "when u were young" still gives me goosebumps now.

dont get me wrong i do like the verve but i consider there songs a bit too slow and chilled to be headlining a festival.

i also cant wait for the specials and im praying for the monkeys. they have only played V once which was when they first started, but seen as they deserve a headline slot i doubt they will be there.

as for kasabian im keeping me fingers and toes crossed. dont believe the hype!!

Yes I certainly loved the Killers in '07 - I remember feelng totally gutted when they finished too. I absolutely love the Killers but the Verve are from my era and I will never forget the feeling I had watching them play "Drugs don't work", sitting on my hubby's shoulders (poor thing!!) - rain pouring down and loving every single minute of it!!!!!!!!

Funny how it poured down with rain when watching Killers in '07 too!!! Bring on the rain for Oasis then - it seems to make more of an atmosphere!!!!

I didn't see the Prodigy - was watching Muse - but hubby went and watched them and said they were fantastic, I kind of wish I had gone really, I've never been a Muse fan but just wanted to see them live after all the hype etc, and they were good, but I have heard so many people saying how good Prodigy were. Still, can't be two places at once - another year, another festival!!!!!

Prodigy were top drawer last year. Killers were good in 2007 but didn't come close to Foo Fighters, but that's just my opinion.

Can't see much room for any more big acts this year, doubt Kasabian will be there. Oh well, I'll have to make do with seeing them at Wembley Stadium in July supporting Oasis.

Think Pendulum followed by FBS will be one not to miss this year!!!!

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
