LITTER -- I forgot about this.....

Sat night--- main stage had finished and we spent quite a bit of time around the Songlines tent before descending on the path to the SD...... when I turned around and surveyed the scene before me (as pissed as i was) I was totally shocked, angry and dismayed.

Picture the scene-- the grassed area in front of the main stage --- quite brightly lit --- only a handful of people there... absolutely strewn with all kind of litter!

I was (still am) flaggergasted..... the plastic pints reflecting like cats eyes on the motorway. Thousands of em.

And --here at this festival which had probably the most comprehensive range of Litter bins we`ve ever came across at a festival---lots of em--all clearly marked (and emptied afawcs).

I know--- yer towrds the front of the stage--yer ale comes--yer sup it off--down goes the glass... who doesnt do that?

BUT-- yer could pick em up afterwards and put em away.

The compares words about green and helping the environment etc only a little time before--- just shows you overall what soceity we live in--we dont give a shit us.

From what we seen of the campsite on leaving tbh--was pretty good with less than average shite left... but that night and those plastic galsses will remain as a memory of Wychwood along with the great ones.

Den --not Massively Green--but caring enough.

Was anyone else a bit confuuuuused about what to do with the I'm-not-a-plastic-glass beer glasses?

I did a right hokeycokey round the litter points more than once trying to decide "plastic" or "all other waste"...(but I'd rather have this problem than no recycling at all or overflowing bins!)
