I love her. So much so that Mrs Yeti jokes that I only married her (a red haired Irish woman) because I couldn't marry actual Roisin.
Her catalogue is brilliant, and has been for 25 years. A constant presence on the most discerning dancefloors.

Didn't they put it up early a few years ago for some event in the weeks preceding the festival?

Aw that's a shame about Pangea. I was looking forward to seeing it evolve, especially as the wind in 2019 stopped it from operating as intended.

Who's using all that glass?

We got tickets for Liverpool in the pre sale the other day. We usually opt for Manchester for gigs, but Victoria Warehouse has absolutely no redeeming qualities so I'm happy to go somewhere else.
I've seen them 10 or so times since 1994. I didn't think they'd call it a day after Keith's death and I'm excited to see what they bring.

I'd be surprised if the Prodigy's first gig back after all that's happened is at Glastonbury, or any other festival, secret or otherwise. It just doesn't feel like the kind of thing they'd do.
The tour they've announced is exactly the kind of thing they do: familiar venues, familiar towns, and three nights in Brixton.

Doves aren’t active at the sadly.😔 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4112g2d9j8o
It's a struggle to think of a more underwhelming comeback than that of Doves over the last couple of years.

Yeah I totally get that, but after years of watching some cracking Pyramid headliner sets on TV and wishing I was there, and then finally getting tickets for the first time you sort of think the odds of getting at least one you like are pretty good.
Every other Glasto for the last 10 years there has been at least one if not 2 I would have been right into, and then the year I get to go has none. After waiting so long for the Poster drop it just feels a bit disappointing for me.

All these posts are true. This thread acts as a gentle warm up to the summer. Praising the sun gods in anticipation of a glorious festival is heartily encouraged.

tbh I can imagine the crowds at Desert Trip being incredibly dull, the kind that would suck away from what should be some epic concerts
Those bands did their epic concerts 50 years ago, today they're all about gently entertaining a more sedate clientele for considerable sums of money.

2015 we honest lost the plot. But who would have guessed the Who would cancel a gig to headline? I can’t actually remember who we thought it was going to be before the Who news.
It was going to be the Roses. Bob Harrison said so. The year of betting-slip gate.

Apparently Liz Truss has single handedly started WW3.
Properly stitched up today by Lavrov. Which, tbh, wasn't fair, but still, she perhaps should have known better. He's been at that shit for years, our foreign secretaries never get that luxury.

Politics is part of Glastonbury...I enjoy popping into Left Field and Speakers Forum when I'm between bands for example. Don't see the problem with having diverse threads on a forum to do with the festival?
Oh it's not a problem, it's only a forum after all.
Its not a hill I'm arsed about dying on, just my opinion.

I think its fine here myself: it's clearly marked and people can avoid it if they want to stick to festival stuff
Everything in its right place.

This whole fucking thread needs moving to discussions or wherever, cos despite the title it's got fuck all to do with Glastonbury and we've an actual festival to get excited about again.

I wouldn't bet against there being another scandal. It's got to be odds on with this fuckwit, right?

Ian Duncan Smith talking about "helping the poorest in our society" is possibly the most hypocritical thing I've ever seen in my life!
We should all just do as he did and marry into wealth.
