I refer the Honourable meat 'n' potatoes rawk Gentleman to my earlier post 😉 Ben

Thank you for your service* Ben *I don't think I could have done that 🤪

And, to qualify, I'm as disappointed as anyone on the demise of the WG stage as I spend a lot of time there in the daytime/evening year on year... However, if they have made the area a lovely place still to be for chilling and food and a break from the mayhem, and there is a new, pretty awesome art installation in there too, then that's good and we should feel grateful that Glastonbury is still looking to do different things to the other big festivals (Boomtown aside, maybe). Come on team! And no, it's not 1987 anymore and we can all expect not to be allowed to climb on the structure, but shall we just get there first and have a look...?! ✌🏼 Ben x

I have it on good authority from a bin painter on site that Carhenge 2.0 is looking pretty awesome! Ben
-
Yeah, looks 'normal', I think. Also, Rabbit Hole is up! Ben

Ki/Ki is playing on The Levels on Thursday night. It'll be massive energy non-cheesey, quality trance! She's got some good sets online. Ben
-
I'll be there, I'm pretty sure! Taking in some well-crafted pop before the majesty that is Phoenix - aka where all the cool kids are 😂. Ben
-
Go see Adwaith on Park! All-girl indie/post-punk in Welsh. I'm only not going to be there as I'll see them on the Saturday in 🥐 9️⃣! Ben

You're a child!! 😂 Ben x

Easy on the old fogies, ya monkey! As it stands I'm seeing out my festival with him on the Flying Bus. Bimble Inn seems a really odd venue for him, but even they have ramped up their late night dance music profile this year! Ben

Sadly even the best osteopath can't change the changes in my spine, @The Nal! But I have had deep tissue massages at festivals before, to help the muscles that are screaming trying to overcome my anatomical deterioration! Ben

That's one scenario that might get me to the Pyramid for the set! But then I'd be disappointed if they came on only to play Foos songs! Spirit of Radio echoing across the Vale of Avalon, hello.... Ben

My 'secret' here is 'never stop moving'. Your idea of arriving just at the start of a set is excellent, but even then I never stand still. If the music is conducive to moving in time to it, easy, if not, I just kind of sway putting pressure alternately on each foot. This lack of standing still is a life-saver as that is what knackers my back the most. I will sometimes think of the Guards in bearskins outside the palaces in London standing immobile for hours and weep. Ben

No reason to think not. On his tour he's clearly indicated when shows are live of DJing. And other acts in Silver Hayes are designated as live. So, yup, 99.9% sure he's DJing straight after Helena. Ben

Lonely Hearts is open, so there's no 'getting in'. Swim like a salmon up the side and into Position A and you'll be grand! Ben

I'll email someone. Ben

Thursday: Paranoid London, Ki/Ki, probably IMOGEN and maybe VTSS (but more likely will scoot to Hodge on IICON) Saturday: Ben Bohmer, Max Cooper (probably, as I'll be up there. Like him a lot, but have seen his A/V show reasonably recently), Helena Hauff, Daniel Avery* * Though I have a real soft spot/love for Radioactive Man's electro, so might do a little half and half in Wow too. And, I need to leave a bit early to get down to Truth for Scalping. Ben
-
And yes, that Bohmer to Avery run is pretty spectacular. So excited finally to feel that there's a whole (half) night for me in Silver Hayes. I genuinely feel that the area is going to look and feel entirely revitalised this year. Ben
-
Nice! Good luck getting into ConMan! I have to say that it's not for me, but it will be RAMMO, I'm sure!! Ben

Lots of good techno around, but it's a little all over the place! Paranoid London on The Levels on Thursday should be brilliant. IMOGEN in Wow, also Thursday. Lovely little double header of Helena Hauff into Daniel Avery on Saturday (Lonely Hearts) with some anjuna style froggy stuff from Ben Bohmer earlier that evening, if you're not at a headliner. Friday is techno on the Genosys Bus (hoping the sound is improved), and the legendary Underground Resistance (albeit with only one member playing live) on IICON is a set I don't think I can miss! An embarrassment of riches outside all of that too. Ben

They were all over pretty much every festival last year (and the year before!). Not impossible, but I think unlikely, I'm afraid... Ben
-
Have you got your shifts yet - i.e. do you know what night(s) you can be out and about. That makes it easier to find stuff for you. If you like psytrance, then you're pretty much restricted to Sunday night at the Glade Dome. I'll be in position A 😉. Ben
-
No, and there are usually rumours ahoy by this point... Ben
-
Yeah, that's a head scratcher. I continue to admire Block9's programming and they do knock it out of the park. What to expect from an Actress set on IICON, who knows?! I think I'll be in the Temple then, anyway. Ben
