Display name change
Monkey for festivals replied to OrlaGrace's topic in Website wishlist & problems
Hi @Neil @eFestivals , very sorry to bother you...would it be at all possible to change my display name for me please? Maybe to Festival_Monkey Or something similar 🤔 -
Hi there, I'm driving, but more than happy to go as passenger if seat going. Travelling from gwent valleys, to M4 from Newport, Chepstow, pass edge of Bristol then straight to the lovely festival! I'm planning on leaving mid day ish from my end on Wednesday with aim to arrive at around 3pm as a driver...I would have space for 1 or maybe two at push (depending on kit). As a passenger I could meet you on route and park my car at your chosen departure anywhere on above route. I would have some flexibility on times. Any other glasto gents or maybe couples be great. Coming back Monday mid day (again flexible) Message me to discuss.

I got in on a random ticket...didn't look like him...they challenged but let me in when I smiled... I.just picked the most fun looking volunteer to approach... also sold the ex Mrs ticket once...offered to meet them with id if required...never hear from them, so assume went fine... I think as long as you don't get jobs worth... go at a busy time...don't be drunk or rude, or look dodgy, you would have to be unlucky not to be fine.

We always laugh or smile spoting the others...when you watching for it it's supising how many times you see the same group in crowd across the 5 days...

First time glasto-goer.. in a caravan
Monkey for festivals replied to Glastonewbie111's topic in Questions
Hey, yeah early enrrt with caravan, on Tuesday... You can take booze anywhere without hiding... no glass though...plus they question you if it behond a reasonable amount on entry...personal fine...but if you have 10000s of cans they will query if selling -
You see this tip more at Glastonbury than I have at other festivals, but it really helps if you can get your whole team on board... we normally have a group of 10 or 15..when walking in crowd or convoy, we have our own hand signal that the person leading way holds up high above their head walking...if a large line, the person in middle normally repeats.. if you get separated in crowd, you instantly stand still and do our signal, then the team when looking back can note a separation... it actually really useful in the crowd! We seen other versions such as the horns 🤘, the birdy chat 🤏, the money finger rub...etc... ours an index finger swil spin 👆" ... invent your own if part of a team... 😁 it was fun to spot others doing same idea across the years... If you ever take kids, I good idea I sore, was to write in sharpie permanent marker up.arm "if found lost please ring this number" ... an excellent idea... Send yourself a wattsapp GPS pin for xar location parked in car park! A life saver to find car again! I also pin the tent on a GPS to self... Some crackers there lol... hope you have an amazing time

Thanks for the reply... as I read it, they don't need a separate paid parking ticket for the yellow access parking? Is that correct? Yes he wasn't planning to camp or use any of the other disabled facilities, just the parking.. looking on the map, it's a little closer than some of the other car parks, so a help... we all been a little last minute organising a few things , I think he was meant to contact them sooner than he has...

Hi there, thanks for the link. He has emailed them, but not had a reply yet... I have tried to Google the information but the glasto page only says so much... I was just wondering if anyone knew from experience...if not I guess we will have to wait for the answer.

Hi there, anyone with any experience on this? My friend is a blue badge owner... I have noticed that there is disabled parking via yellow gate...what is the process to access this? I see he must apply by email? But what happens on day? Display blue badge and Rock up? They say no parking fee is required? Do you get a special badge ? Or is the blue badge all that is required? Thanks in advance.

Can I buy a parking ticket on the gate?
Monkey for festivals replied to BristolJT's topic in Questions
Yeah it's possible...that's my plan..I'm still hoping to lift share..but if not I will drive and pay on day... it works out the same pretty much time you add on postage and fees -
Best post ever! Super excited now 😆

Anyone driving from Gwent valley or Newport end to Glastonbury!? I planned on leaving Wed afternoon and returning Monday, I was hoping for a space but if that fails I might drive (I'd have space for 2x) Anyone?
