Thundercat on stage

We walked away from Thundercat after 2 songs. Went with a open mind not knowing what to expect and without knowing anything other than his mainstream stuff. I guess that was normal for their live set but not for us. Was like something out of Starwars, but on speed, and acid. Completely mental. Also they turned it right up which normally I love but just sounded distorted. Sparse crowd but the people that were into it were loving it. War on drugs felt very calm and soothing after. 😄

Its their best line up of the band ever. Hopefully that's it for good!

Crowd was incredibly small just before they came on. We were there for war on drugs also. who were brilliant. Plastic bags passing by like tumble weeds. Was very weird. Filled up from maybe 21.45 onwards, after I assume some chucked Elton after a couple of songs. I think it spurned Queens on to be honest. Josh came out with a large wry smile like he knew. They absolutely smashed it to bits! What a set! Was great to get that close with ease. Sound was spot on.

The Scottish NHS covid vaccine app was fool proof that way. Had the live time counting away while changing colours. Basically so screenshots wouldn't work. Worked perfectly for getting into those gigs when venues started to open again. Not sure what England or Wales had. Anyway basically that with your photo, scannable barcode and that's it sorted.

I don't mind going veggie. I've been one in the past for periods. But pizza (my festival go to) needs meat. Just a straight up fact.

Not sure why there’s been so much pearl clutching over Axl’s voice over the last so many months. Its isn’t a Michael Bublé concert! It’s a rock show, and for me it’s entirely about Slash and his amazing guitar sound and iconic riffs. Just hope its LOUD! Can’t wait! First GNR timer too!

I never got a email from See tickets. Just got the tracking number from the See customer services thing with my booking reference and postcode. Tracking number displayed on screen, Downloaded the RM app. Input the number. That part works well. Basically don't wait for the email as it might never show up.

Mine have just been delivered to my neighbour. Tiny photo update and an squiggly X as their signature. Its a bit shite that RM do this instead of simply leaving a card and taking it back to the post office for next day pick up. I mean what if you don't get on with your neighbour? Or they're a moron that buggers off on holiday before or something. Its a poor service in this day and age. Complete lack of options.

Bought this one also at £25 delivered. Impressed. Tested it yesterday. Samsung X cover at 15% battery. Charged to 100% in 1hr 45 min. This used 16% of the charger. The digital display is really good.

I seem to be of the same mind as most posters. Seen QOTSA a good few times over the last 20 years but never seen Elton, and this is the only opportunity. Think I'll plan it out a little. Attempt to stand on the other stage side. If its too crowded and I'm not feeling it, high tail it off to the other stage for QOTSA and a guaranteed good show. Sober Sunday for me and I'm a good crowd navigator so its feasible, probably...
