  1. Suppose it would be a decent counterpoint to GnR.
  2. Self confirmed to play or a specific stage?
  3. Duran x2 having that sole US festival date is a massive red flag for me. Makes me think it’ll be the start of a series of dates out there.
  4. Looking at the likelys for this summer we already have a fair few acts who can fit the Other headliner/Pyramid sub bracket - Prodigy, Lizzo, QOTSA, Sam Smith, Pulp, Halsey, Lewis Capaldi… Not sure there’ll be space for Frederick Once More in amongst that lot.
  5. Seems the obvious WH dance headliner to me.
  6. I remember them opening strongly then the set dropping off a cliff aftee half an hour or so. Remember the band distancing themselves from the performance afterwards too.
  7. The Who 2015 should act as a cautionary tale to those wanting the Foos back so quickly.
  8. She certainly fits the profile.
  9. If anything the fact that Janet Jackson tried to pull such a stunt and was widely mocked for it probably stands as a warning to others.
  10. Even before the alphabetical ordering the poster was done on a meritocracy, if you were playing a higher slot you got a slightly bigger font size. That was a pretty much it.
  11. They can get the likes of Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus to play third down with no additional fanfare. The only acts beyond the headliners that get any special treatment is the legend.
  12. Problem there is if you give one non-headlining act little extra attention then suddenly more will want it. Coachella pays enough to keep people happy, Glastonbury doesn’t. Headliners then everyone else A-Z is the least contentious way of doing it.
  13. Same opinion for me. I don't see what the Foos can bring in 2023 that they didn't in 2017. Feels like a waste of a slot to me.
  14. James Brown was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Poor bloke could barely move, yet alone sing.
  15. Yes, you have said you are displeased with the headliners. You said so almost as many times as Neil. You are boring.
  16. Some stuff off of the other six albums they released would be nice.
  17. Yup. It's cold, it's dark and you're poor.
  18. We never get much in January, it's a slow month for the industry in general. There aren't too many big gigs or album releases and everyone is skint from Christmas. It's usually in February when the Brits and NME awards roll around when tongues start to loosen a little.
  19. WTSGD has been missing for years.
  20. You'd think that would be a shoo in given it's an older song that actually suits their recent direction.
  21. Still 5 AM songs for fuck's sake!
  22. Ritz to the Rubble got an airing at Reading last year.
  23. For me one of the intangible factors about that slot is that they are taken by acts who realistically couldn't play anywhere else at the festival. Pulp don't fall into this category for me, they could easily be subbing.
  24. Depends what you think pleases a crowd. They still lean heavily on AM when I've seen them over the last few years. The world doesn't need to hear Snap Out Of It anymore.
  25. He's got a bulging keep net from you lot to wade through...
