Just bought mine and my partner's tickets, very excited, first oveseas festival. Can't believe it's taken us so long when the lineups are usually so much better. PJ / Metallica / RHCP / FNM alone pretty much covers the cost of the ticket already in my eyes, let alone everyone else that's coming. Questions for people who've been before: Do we need wellies? Assume not since it's not England What's the situation with taking our own food/drink? My guess is we can take what we like into the camping area but they will search people for alcohol entering the arena area? How do the tokens shake out roughly? We bought 60 in advance with the intention to mostly live on our own food/drink. Is it roughly 2 tokens per pint? Cheers!

They are everywhere, yeah. You could definitely stick 21P behind Gorillaz in NL though.

Was supposed to go in 2020 so would like to see Volbeat and Placebo back on the bill behind Metallica. I'm gonna assume Pixies are opening for PJ and The Strokes are opening for RHCP unless there's something I've missed. Would love to see Tame Impala next to 21 Pilots that day if Kendrick isn't coming back.

Or us twentysomethings that haven't got round to seeing PJ or Metallica yet. Those two and RHCP alone for the ticket price is insane compared to what you get in England, let alone with all the other acts yet to come.

My 15 year old cousin went, his first arena show, he loved it - I haven't listened to BMTH since they were a deathcore band, no opinion on their newer stuff yet but it blew my mind that they're basically a completely different band now - they didn't play one thing from their first 3 albums - and they're selling out arenas. Crazy that they've captured a whole new generation with a totally different sound.

Deftones should be headlining Download at this point. They're headlining Hellfest, Inmusic, Ressurection and more next year, should have been them instead of Biffy on the Download Sunday. Give them a 1:45 set and let them really flex, they've got 9 albums to draw from by now. A lot of people will always go see whoever is headlining regardless of who it is, less so for 2nd bands.
