  1. I’m not the one saying I’ll antagonise DJs during their sets on the basis of their nationality.
  2. Just out of seeing them in Sydney. It was a 2950 person venue that they didn’t sell out (but must have been close to it in the end). They were chuffed with the amount of people that came out to see them on the other side of the world (mentioned how happy they were with the turn out number wise multiple times). Absolutely brilliant set, haven’t seen them before, wasn’t a fan at all before blue weekend. But have come right around and tonight was absolutely fantastic and Ellie is just electric. Concldued that those amongst us who have conplained about the direction of the festival’s lineup In terms of a departure from their roots are frankly deaf or sexist, but wolf Alice is such a direct descendant from Arctic Monkeys and Oasis before them it couldn’t be more evident. a fantastic gig and anyone wanting a band act at the festival shouldn’t miss it.
  3. Very cool bro im sure this will have a massive impact on the war and won’t do anything but make you feel better about yourself.
  4. Yeah that was my worry from when we first had rumours of him on Arcadia. A main poster listing isn’t a guarantee of a main stage slot.
  5. Not necessarily, but he did play multiple times last time. I personally expect him to headline JP but I don’t think it will be a live set. Just hoping I’m not wrong!
  6. Ah I mean, I think it’s unfair to expect artists to do so. She’s not representing Russia, she’s just Russian.
  7. Good to know, will defo hit that up at the festival. Ben’s the man but I’m a little unfamiliar with the rest.
  8. Interesting line up. TSHA will be nuts on there, but I hope that’s not Four Tet’s only set tbh. DJ EZ will be a vibe, and jopkins would be good but the rest not for me. lots of big names though and I know plent that will be chuffed with Lens, Chase and status, coxy and Nina.
  9. Listen to HAAI’s Mixmag set. which Jobs set did you try ? The essential mix is quite four tet dj set vibes imo
  10. When you say as a 3 who do you mean? I’ve listened to Hessle somewhat regularly over the past few years and didn’t realise it was anyone but Ben plus Guests. but also generally yes, A LOT of electronic music fans are fans without listening to stuff like regular radio stations or specific label output.
  11. One million percent. Unsure if I’d have been as big a fan, or even entertained otherwise. But that album had a huge impact at the time given the circumstances.
  12. She’s definitely not Sunday as is playing in Brum. Has 24-25th on her tour dates, which has caused debates on here. Some hopefully think that means she’s playing two sets (me?), some thinking it indicates a secret set, or a guest appearance, and some thinking that it’s just a quirk of how they’ve put it into her dates. She has lots of other festivals in her tour dates but only one with a hyphenated date like that, so I think she’s playing twice personally.
  13. I’m a huge fan, absolutely love her, but have resigned myself to missing her if she’s on headliner time, particularly if she’s on Friday or Saturday. want to party on Friday/Saturday evenings, not mope to sad girl indie 😞 Just praying she’s down ticket on pyramid or something but know that’s very unlikely.
  14. All these people mixing rehydration salts with loads of water is a bit mad, takes like drinking ocean water to me no matter how I dilute it. If you’re like me and hate the taste, drinking it more concentrated in a couple of gulps is better. Didnt bother with it in 2019 without anything except paracetamol and hayfever tablets , just got back on it. Migraines are my main issue, might have to try the salts this team to negate impact.
  15. I’m sure it was, I wasn’t there as I hadn’t realised who it was, know others that were the same.
  16. Also just a few funny framings, if that Hessle Audio set was billed as Ben UFO & co it would have gotten a better crowd.
  17. It’s the first dubset set he’s played in years and years. Tweeted asking if he should do it and got an overwhelmingly positive response so did it.
  18. Great write up. the merch line thing is insane to me, I saw people post pics of it on reddit. Think it sums up everything about Coachella that feels polar opposite to Glastonbury, and a reflection of the US culturally. Pure unbridled consumerism, makes me depressed thinking about it! Going to a music festival and spending 2 hours queuing to spend money on something to show you were there. Just horrid.
  19. For me the answer to this is a firm no? They played B2B at Fly Open Air in September and it was a pretty far removed from Topping’s brand of tech house. Itll be a mixed bag, based on Fly probs closer to Jobs’ style than Palms. Pretty ravey, some techno.
  20. More chance of me playing IICON than Judge Jules.
  21. He’s more than big enough to headline it now, just needs him to adjust his expectations a bit I think.
  22. I leave Sydney on the 18th, back on the 2nd!
  23. Tyler’s ban was nonsense and he would play the festival is he wasn’t at that weird size where he only headlines festivals but isn’t big enough to headline Glastonbury, which is annoying.
  24. Grime’s roots are in UKG and Jungle, not hip hop. Drill is though yeah.
  25. Yeah could easy see Simz on headlining at some point tbh. Dave too. Also @gfathe Tyler ban thing is very old news, has played in UK plenty since - Headlining Parklife this year.
