Hard to describe, just a bad set. Played a few clangers, dropped some Jungle tracks in the middle that didn’t land well with the APE crowd (it wasn’t a dance crowd) and went on too long given the crowd reaction, held off the XX tunes until late in the set. It probably didn’t help that the sound was shite, the festival was poorly organised and there was a drought of a certain party drug and a lot of bad pills floating about that definitely flattened the atmosphere. id give him another go, but not on a stage that size in a field that size (although that’s probably the only option going forward).

Aye have seen plenty of them tweeting about complaining. It’s a commute at the end of the day.

They’re only 2 hour slots because they’re B2B. unsure why people get hung up on this kind of thing.

Don’t think you can look at it like top billed or not - not sure you could say Annie Mac billed higher than FBS B2B EE, or vice versa.

Yeah that was the single worst headline set I’ve ever experienced. People streaming out the gates by the half way mark, I left myself before the end as think my girlfriend was going to go through me if I made her bare it any longer. Probs just a one-off of what I’ve seen the responses to him elsewhere have been in past 2 year, but Jesus it put me off ever been near a Jamie XX set again.

Tickets to see them in Sydney in July so I’ll be giving them a miss I think.

She did a residency on Radio 1 last month (sorry if someone else has already mentioned this). They’re great, all themed. I imagine her “Warehouse” one is similar to what she will play at Glastonbury -https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0015c78 (you could also check out her Lost Village set which I’m sure in soundcloud).

Wonder if Glastonbury will name a stage after him if he admits it.

Have to say I’m not sure if I’m well off base as I’ve not seen any of them in person in years, but I find what I see of Nina and Amelie and the lien these days as incredibly repetitive and boring. Doesn’t feel like they’ve doing anything interesting, just a lot of repetitive “doof doof” as it were for 2 hours. Maybe I’m mistaken though.
