I must say, as a “young person” I was surprised how many of my friends use/post on Facebook before going to uni! But it turned out that a lot of societies/clubs organise their stuff on there in FB groups.

Bad Bunny’s new album is nowhere to be seen in the UK midweek chart Top 100. Looks like this project won’t be the one to break him over here…
-
The Breeders might have the biggest name on her tour poster, but they’re only actually supporting her on two dates of the tour.
-
Yep, although The 1975 have been doing it since 2018 now. Their “Music For Cars” era includes both Brief Inquiry and Notes.
-
I can see that, I suppose it would mean that Post Malone and Paramore are MSW headliners though! Seems a little too strong.

Well, Cardi B released her big comeback single today… It debuted at just #70 on Spotify and #138 on Apple Music (both UK), quite a way off WAP charting at #1 a few years ago!
-
They had one song go semi-viral on TikTok earlier this year. Not massive, but it’s racked up decent streaming numbers.

Correct, I think AJ has peaked at this point tbh. He had a string of Top 10 hits in 2020 and 2021, but his last 4 singles charted at #34, #21 and #58 - with one not making the chart at all.

They’re being quite vague about it, but they said that it features “newly expanded production”. So I don’t think it’ll be exactly the same.
-
Yeah, I can’t see this being a debut album tour.

Anyone know what the crowd size for Imagine Dragons was like?
-
Imagine Dragons draw a much younger crowd than the other two I’d say, they’ve actually had hits in the last few years.
-
I’ve heard that Catfish are back next year, new lineup other than Van McCann. Same source that revealed them as headliners a few years ago. Not sure if they’ll be at R&L, but certainly a possibility.

And a bit of Truck too
-
Possibly 2000 Trees, but on a smaller scale.
-
Quite a lot seem to be singing along to this third song!

The iPlayer live coverage has now begun with Frank Turner.

Their European festival headline slots in the last few weeks have all had Brightside last.

2009! In my head I was thinking 2011, but it’s not that much before. And then their CBBC show ran until 2014.
-
I think they’re still mostly just known for The X Factor, it was only just over 10 years ago. Kids watching the show at the time will be around 20-25 now. They also had a CBBC show for a few years after TXF. They’ve also built up a decent TikTok following in recent years, although that hasn’t translated into anyone caring about their music based on their Spotify stats.

Pop singer Lauv just cancelled his Malaysian show, probably because he recently came out as bisexual. No word whether it was him or the Malaysian government who cancelled it though.

It’s not much of a defence as he should have looked into it, but during his speech he said he didn’t research how poor LGBT rights are over there - and that he wouldn’t have taken it if he’d known.
