  1. Metronomy ruled out keeps the Little Simz dream alive 🙏
  2. Looks like we lost some of this thread when the site went down. Reposting the poster for reference below. I was just thinking over the weekend whether any decent bands would be booked for this year’s event as the line up is a major disappointment in comparison to last year’s (although Friday’s is decent but my ticket is for the main day).
  3. That is very sad news for Issac and the rest of the band. Hope he is okay and gets better
  4. I’ve seen them for hire yeah. I haven’t used them as the walk from the car park to camping isn’t long at all. I imagine they’re useful for families with lots of stuff. There’s a small hill as you enter the camping area which I can imagine is a bit precarious with the trolleys!
  5. I think they’re all good! My favourite is probably 7 although the “classics” are Teen Dream and Bloom.
  6. I saw them on their last album tour and loved it but I’m a massive fan so I was always going to enjoy bar a massive disaster!
  7. Seen that one of the Green Man bookers liked Beach House’s recent tweet about their new album 😃 EDIT: He also liked a similar tweet from Metronomy a few days previously 😬
  8. This is a guess but I think @retromoz and @bennyhana22might have been there.
  9. I can totally see where you’re coming from and I think I agree on the whole. I do think GM works perfectly for its target audience despite this though. That said, GM do pull off the odd “surprise” booking. I would suggest the following as examples from the last few years: Lamb, PJ Harvey, Bridget St John, The Black Angels, Liars, Slint, Michael Rother, Grandaddy, Mew, Neutral Milk Hotel, Mercury Rev. And obviously Joanna Newsom has played several times in the past. Very excited to see what they can do this year!
  10. Agreed, I loved the Lost Girls album. Jenny’s new songs are also sounding typically amazing. Yes we just need a handful of “surprises” dotted about amongst the reliably strong line up that they put out every year. Also I’ve seen that Dan Deacon is in Spain the week after Green Man and I would very much like for him to play!
  11. Green Man 2022 is the year of Jenny Hval 🙏 bonus points for a Lost Girls set
  12. Metronomy and Iggy Pop are both playing Off Festival in early August. Usually a bit of crossover between GM and Off. There’s also usually a fair bit of crossover from Lowlands, Pukkelpop and Haldern Pop Festival but I don’t think there’s been anything announced yet with those.
  13. I believe this is the first year it’s sold out before the line up was released. I’m sure this is a result of large numbers of ticket holders rolling their tickets over. All resales are dealt with via twickets. I understand that campervan passes are a bit like gold dust and can be tricky to get a hold of but I’m sure a few will pop up but you will have to act fast! There’s usually lots of other tickets popping up on twickets, particularly nearer the time (i.e. in the summer). EDIT: Sorry they are using Fantics now not Twickets!
  14. Yeah I’m not sure either! She might be a bit too poppy for Green Man these days I dunno.
  15. Nope As in she’s not big enough? Maybe not. But I think she’s fairly big!
  16. Is Aurora a possibility for headliner? She’s in France just before Green Man and also in the week following Green Man. She played GM back in 2015.
  17. Parquet Courts, Ty Segall, BADBADNOTGOOD and Alex G are nailed on now surely for some of the bigger names on the undercard. There’s usually a lot of crossover and this can extend pretty high up (although never to headliners). I’m hoping Sudan Archives and Nilufer Yanya are also at GM. Quite a lot of the other names lower down will also be at GM for sure.
  18. It would be glorious!! The reason I said that though is that there are hardly ever (maybe never?) any hip hop acts at GM. That said, I think she is incredibly popular with GM’s demographic in general so I think it would go down brilliantly.
  19. I feel like Little Simz tour dates are perfect for GM but I’m not 100% convinced they’d go for her as a headliner. I’m not sure whether playing Reading Festival affects the chances or not - I’m assuming not.
  20. A chap called Adam Redmore has GM 2022 listed as one of his 2022 shows. Not heard of him. Strikes me as a late night act or perhaps even Chai Wallahs.
  21. Ahhh thanks! Ahh yeah I was thinking the same last week! Is there also a possibility of Super Furry Animals? I don’t think there’s any indication of them touring but they have an anniversary of Rings Around The World with a reissue.
  22. Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Animal Collective are two of my outside bets for headliners.
  23. Lol there was a funny comment underneath that on Twitter. Could be a reason, yeah. I’m sure IDLES will be a popular choice generally speaking. Wishlist: Bikini Kill, Cassandra Jenkins, Jenny Hval, Anna Von Hausswolff, Anna B Savage, Dan Deacon, Arooj Aftab, L’Rain, Caroline Polachek, Les Savy Fav, Weyes Blood, Low, Audiobooks, Gazelle Twin.
