I think they will be certainly at Green Man but I guess they could maybe do both.

Are you thinking of Mount Kimbie? Mount Kimbie did the same slot the year before (2018). Could potentially see either cropping up this year (or even Floating Points again) but maybe they’ll go for someone different for this year.

Wonder if Metz, Show Me The Body and Protomartyr will show up here or Green Man (or neither). All three doing Canela Party in between EOTR and Green Man.

I just think it’s funny to dunk on Idles because I find them cringy as hell. Not that deep really and please feel free to hate on any act that I mention on here as well - I won’t take offence!

Gossip would be a weird/bad choice but maybe I could see it… feel like it won’t be them though personally. Other stuff all looks likely, although I think/hope Beth Gibbons might pop up at Green Man. Holden did last year so won’t be there again obvs.

Yeah I think they’re quite likely now it’s just people (like me) assumed they’d be at EOTR given they were booked to do the 2020 edition and haven’t been back yet.

Friday looking cool according to the speculative clashfinder: Elsy Wameyo > Ugly > Maple Glider > Debby Friday > Sanam > Mdou Moctar > ML Burch > Clarissa Connelly > Ichiko Aoba > Yo La Tengo. I do think Ichiko Aoba would be on the Garden stage though not the Boat.

The Smile at Pukkelpop on the Sunday of Green Man weekend. Also at Lowlands that weekend. Leaves one day open for them at Green Man - maybe the Friday?

Setting sound brilliant if you’re into instrumental ambient, post-rock, drone sorta stuff. Seem like a great act for The Boat.

Forgot that I really like Maple Glider. To Enjoy is the Only Thing was one of my faves of 2021 and Good Thing was one of my SOTYs. Should be nice on the Garden Stage.

Think we’ll likely get some of Ezra Collective, Alvvays, Osees, Beth Gibbons, Granddady and The Decemberists as some of the bigger acts.

YLT | Fever Ray | Lankum would be a great set of headliners for me. Would probably skip Slowdive having seen them last year and probably again at Wide Awake this year. Acts I’d be extremely excited for would be Ichiko Aoba, Cornelius, Sanam, Richard Dawson, Blue Lake and Tara Clerkin Trio. Lots of others I’d be keen for like Jockstrap, Joanna Sternberg, Mdou Moctar, Sleater Kinney, Bonnie Prince Billy, Nourished by Time, Mary Lattimore, SLIFT, Water From Your Eyes and ML Buch. Lots to explore as well which is good.

If they can add Deathcrash, Backxwash, Billy Woods, Moor Mother, Lonnie Holley, Brighde Chaimbeul, Lost Girls/Jenny Hval, and some of the acts from the to be announced Supersonic festival that I’m sure will be fantastic then that would be 👌

Pretty sure Cornelius Field Day 2018 set was the only U.K. show they’ve done in absolutely ages in the U.K. Quite an unexpected booking tbh even though I thought it could be possible given the Barbican date shortly after EOTR.

No Big Thief or The Decemberists at EOTR. Green Man bound?

Would guess that Cornelius would be a Big Top headliner. I would have thought they’d be bigger than that but their placement on the poster suggests they’re not a Garden headliner.

Where are Big Thief!? And the Decemberists!? That’s quite funny.

My initial take is that the top lines seem a lot better than last year but maybe the undercard isn’t quite as eclectic (potentially will change my view on undercard as there are some I’m not familiar with). Slowdive, Fever Ray, Bonnie Prince Billy, Yo La Tengo, Sleater Kinney, Lankum, Jockstrap, Mdou Moctar, Richard Dawson, Cornelius all brilliant big names. From undercard my faves are: Sanam, Ichiko Aoba, Blue Lake, Tara Clerkin Trio, Joanna Sternberg, Mary Lattimore, Water From Your Eyes, Nourished by Time, ML Buch, Mui Zyu and Ugly.

So Bonnie Prince Billy was the act that Simon really wanted. @SweepingTheNationcalled it. He’s the Thursday headliner.
