  1. I'm travelling to Scotland for a gig tomorrow. My English NHS double vax pass is good enough, isn't it?
  2. Here's mine... Nobody actually likes Arcade Fire. The popularity of that band is just a joke that got out of hand. A few people just decided one day to pretend Arcade Fire were the best band about, and said to everyone they met "You've never heard of Arcade Fire!?" so that the people that didn't know them just pretended they did to look cool, and it just kept going and going until Arcade Fire headlined Glastonbury.
  3. Anyone else think it's really dumb that RHCP are playing their UK shows over Glasto week? It feels almost intentional like they hate the festival as much as the festival hates them
  4. Pretty generic answer, but Royal Blood. They've got the tunes to arguably headline, and they always put on a great show. Other Headline or subbing could be a shout?

    2022 Headliners

It's a gamble in Kasabian. Still nobody knows where they sit on the popularity scale now... and a safe booking in Muse. Nothing inspiring but it's a B+ pair of headliners imo
  6. Maybe so, I suppose my perspective is more sentimental in the fact that I'd rather see the thing I loved left how it was and start a new chapter. Yours is more of a straightforward and logical approach. I'd still support the rest of the band in whatever they go on to do, but ultimately Tom Meighan can fuck off.
  7. As a fan, I'd be unhappy about it, but I'd be unhappy with anyone but Serge taking over. For me, if they get a new singer altogether, they should draw a line under 'Kasabian' and start with something new.
  8. Yeah I agree, was just wondering where people thought they may fit now. I think they only need to release one song that does as well as Underdog or Fire, and people will realise the whole "no Tom, no party" shtick is a load of bull and they may get back to where they were a couple of years ago. I couldn't have seen them headlining again either before all this, aside from a last-minute switch or whatever, but now they're in a transition it could work out well for them, which I hope it does.
  9. Assuming they were an announced act, where would they actually fit on the lineup now? Previously, they probably would have been headline or nothing. Now, without Tom and with the brush they will have been kinda tarred with, their stock has probably lowered... Yet their name value almost seems too big for a sub, too awkward for an Other headline. I suppose we'll have to wait for the gigs to see how they are received. I'm going to the first one in Glasgow. It's all the same people making the music, just without that w*nker singing. Serge did a good job as SLP so I trust that it will be okay.

    2022 Headliners

My dad had bought us tickets to The Who in Hyde Park in 2015 for Christmas, as we'd never seen them before. I had missed out on Glasto tickets, then managed to get some in the elusive secret resale. Didn't have the heart to let my dad down, so went to Glasto on the Wednesday, went home on Friday morning, had a shower (the luxury!!) and went with my dad to Hyde Park to see The Who. Had another luxurious night sleeping in my own bed, then got the first train back to Glasto on Saturday morning. Ended up getting to the festival just in time to get to the barrier for Slaves on the JP... Then The Who headlined on Sunday! I have a bad feeling that my mum is going to really want me to go with her to this Elton gig.

    2022 Headliners

I've been in pandemic hibernation and just popped back into what seems like either the very right or very wrong moment. Could somebody please summarise what the current situation is? Seems like we're getting Billie and QOTS, on what info? What's happening with Taylor, Kendrick and Macca... What other rumours/almost certainties do we have? Oh and what time is Fatboy Slim on?
