  1. That will be Keg or English Teacher
  2. Saw her recently. Was beautiful. What's more beautiful is Low playing. I'm absolutely made up about it. Love them so much. Kraftwerk is great for me. Had tickets to the APE that got cancelled so really happy to finally get to see them. What have Legss done to annoy festival bookers?!
  3. Agree about Idles. Not sure previous lack of hip hop on main stages matters with Little Simz. She's firmly crossed into the mainstream now, even if Brit Awards still count her as a new artist ffs.
  4. They played at EOTR 2013 in the Big Top. I saw them play just after lockdown ended. Very good live band.
  5. Looks like they have moved Boutique Camping to the new field they opened last year which was further along the hedge past Family Camping and remained 80% empty for the weekend.
  6. Don't feed the peacocks. Make sure you watch deathcrash and Wu-Lu. Keep an eye out for late night secret sets in the Tipi and randomly in the day on the little piano stage in the woods. Spend some time wandering the woods at night. Only really been muddy twice that I can remember, and even then it's never a total disaster.
  7. Just seen Pom Poko in Portsmouth. They really are such a great live band. Incredible musicians, I reckon the drummer is one of the best out there after Morgan from Black Midi. They always seem so happy. You watch some bands and they barely smile but Pom Poko are just always having the best time.
  8. Nice list. Where's Keg? Edit, just noticed Thursday. They'd be a great opener.
  9. I just saw deathcrash and they were fucking incredible.
  10. Can confirm one correct guess on this list. I had a conversation with a band after their gig this evening. When I said "I hope they've booked you for Green Man" they went "well, err, um, err" and changed the subject.
  11. They've always let people pay extra on the Monday if they want to add on Settlers to their normal ticket. Not sure how much it is. Don't see why you couldn't set up and come back a few days later, they don't keep tabs on who is coming and going from the site.
  12. Jockstrap tour. Loving the fact they are at the Joiners.
  13. I'm gonna go for a few smaller acts no one else has chosen with a couple of heavy hitting psych bands, might end up with no points but worth a gamble. Jockstrap Legsss Opus Kink Caroline Pom Poko Slift OSees Deadletter White Flowers English Teacher
  14. Would be a meteoric rise from Rising to Far Out headliner. More likely sub in there but can definitely see them booked.
  15. Are they trying to win an award for worst festival line up of all time?
  16. We normally get one and chuck all the heavy stuff on for one load and carry the rest. You pay £50 deposit and they charge £5 for half an hour but they are decent and don't up the price if you are a few minutes over. Our normal plan is to carry a few light bits and the gazebo down to the wristband exchange and then walk to campsite to find a spot. Once we have worked out where to camp it's back to the car, grab a trolley and load it up. We can get our air tent and some other heavy stuff on for the one load. They also give you bungees to put over the top so it doesn't all fall out.
  17. 1. Deathcrash - Return 2. Ben Bondy - Camo 3. Romance - Once Upon A Time I'd have Burial in there but it's not counted as an album even though it's longer than the last 2 on my list. Also not sure if reissues are allowed so I didn't pick an insanely good 1973 Japanese funk album by Rinsyoe Kida and Akira Ishikawa which can be found here: https://cinedelic.bandcamp.com/album/tsugaru-jongara-bushi-drum-tsugaru-jamisen
  18. Likewise I saw Fontaines on their first headline tour where they did the same and one bloke at the end said "is that all they are going to do?" They'd only released 2 singles and it cost about £7 to get in. Not sure what he was expecting!
  19. They played an hour last night but had a 5 minute break for the random fight that kicked off!
  20. They have material for a solid 40 minute set which is fine for a band who haven't released an album and have no EP's. Playing an extra 20 minutes on top of that is unnecessary at their stage of evolution but I guess is almost demanded by their popularity. They seemed slightly baffled by how popular they are.
  21. Wet Leg last night at the Joiners. Some good songs, some filler. An utterly pointless cover of Ronan Keating. Crowd full of people I rarely see at gigs all there to supposedly support IVW when half of them never go to shows. One chap randomly drove 3 hours from Cambridge to Southampton for it. There was a fight halfway through which livened up the pedestrian mid set plodding. It got good after that. I was really hoping they wouldn't play Chaise Lounge or do it Nirvana style and play it badly just to annoy everyone.
  22. Hasn't it normally been end of Jan as a rule?
  23. They booked Loyle Carner in Chai Wallahs in 2015. To be honest I barely go in there so not sure if they have had other hip hop?
  24. I can see her in the Saturday night slot. She's very, very good live. Imagine the horns of Introvert pumping out from the speakers on the Mountain Stage to announce her arrival.
