  1. That is so true. Gone are the days when you had market traders 'choosing' how much they gave to the tax man.
  2. I do hope it is still there, it had a great reputation, a bit off the trodden path, so as long a set in the stage hadn't just finished, not to crowded I believe it was called The Red Flag

    Glastocam!

Ah... just took a screen shot of GoS's video on their FB page. So there is an area that's taken up by crew. I am guessing that's what I was referring to. Anyone know what looks like a large white Marquee shown in the bottom left of the snip is?

    Glastocam!

Oh, my bad, I thought Glastonbury on Sea... the Pier, was further to the east a bit. It starts at the corner then?

What do you reckon is happening on the NE corner of Pennards. Just south of the track between the Park and the Pier? Looks like a lot of earthwork. Do you reckon those caravans and camper vans are there permanently? Seems like camping real estate in Pennards is getting smaller
  6. Otter Ale as well as Pilton Pop are served in all the official bars. Yes, we all have a preference for decent real ale, mine is Doom Bar or 6X, But the aforementioned local ales are delicious enough, and lets be frank, you're at a great festival in a field, we are so e'fing lucky to have such a wide choice 😃 (No, I don't work for CAMRA 😉)

    Glastocast

I listened to the latest cast when I was out with the dog this afternoon, loved it. Why do people tag Gnomicide here? Is he Miguel? Does Jessie have an efest name on here? Anyway, keep up the good work Glastocast, I am loving your work, it puts me on cloud 9 as I look forward to to the end Of June 🙂

Excellent find Tumbles, I love watching stuff like that, thanks for posting (off topic, we both share the first same year, '94 happy memories)

Just a reminder of its behemoth proportions

    Glastocam!

Reminds me a bit of those Star Wars land crawlers
  13. I park in Ashcombe Park carparking an unofficial car park - have done for years. They open their field on Sunday, so I do like to be in the que before they open the carparks. There must be loads of people that get dropped off near by by cars from friends. I know the official drop off point in at the Bath and West, but they can hardly enforce that. There are official opening times for cars and caravans, but pedestrians seem to turn up any time Tuesday noon onwards. Just for interest this is Ashcombe Park car park, it's fully booked by the way
  14. Oh, I am guessing you are staff - I wondered for a moment how you could be onsite by 6pm Tuesday. I will be one of those q-ing overnight and hoping to get the same spot in Pennards first thing 🤞

Are we definitely sure the crane is being removed and not re-constructed? I would love it if they could have both the Spider and the Crane in the same field. I consider it doubtful though 😔
  16. Today my son has finished stripping the trolley down and rebuilt it again using fresh bolts a wood Yes, there's my daughter again, a little bit older 🙂 Hope this inspires others to mod their trolleys 😉
  17. So around 2010 I bought your typical sack barrel from Halfords and modified it a bit for Glastonbury Notice the age of my son then, and my baby daughter in the back ground. The last pic was about 5 years ago... we had a flat on the way back to the car but always carry a spare. This was not Glasto but some other festival I can't recall the name on.
  18. For those that haven't been yet, it's typical that people don't remain in their cars. A lot of people get seats out and merge into groups chatting and drinking. Also, there are quite a few that que u by the gates overnight.

They are getting fast at it 😮 I made my snip a wide one so you can see the fence in relation to the stones
  21. Oh, I had forgotten about Scotties maps. Very colourful and concise. Maybe a bit pixelated on the lines and letters. I love looking at other peoples and different official versions of Glastonbury maps. Has he done one this year Neil? I can't seem to find it on your site?
  22. I am kind of glad you've said that. A lots of my glasto going mates have said 'it's a must see venue, you have to see it' I've always meant to, but meh, there is so much to see and do, and I never got around to it. Now this would be my 'off the main trail - little known but excellent, recommendation. The Chalk Bar. Any others here in this thread enjoyed themselves there?
