  1. End It and SPY doing shows in Leeds and London on the Sat and Sun of the Trees weekend. Would love for them to be added, though I'm not sure if there is room for them on the line up still. EDIT: SPY not playing Leeds which is the Sat though it would make less sense if they were playing that day as that day already seems mega stacked
  2. Bands have played both fests in the past in high spots and if they do they typically get announced in April time i.e. Mallory Knox in 2016, Deaf Havana in 2017 and Twin Atlantic in 2018
  3. Speaking of those two main slots to fill, who do we reckon? Can only think of The Menzingers and Touche Amore for them. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Joyce Manor were 3rd down, if a little underwhelming. Also Chelsea Grin are way higher up the poster than Svalbard and Kublai Khan (even Casey are above them) so might even have 2 subs for The Cave to be announced as well?
  4. While She Sleeps headlined The Cave against Frank Turner and Mongol Horder headlined The Axiom against YM@6. Both are the first logo bands after the main headliners. The precedent of bigger bands playing main headliners or Axiom always against the main hasn't really been set yet, it was basically only last year it happened. I reckon they'll just do whatever makes sense for each day this year.
  5. Yeah, Rivial Schools make way more sense against BMFV than Cancer Bats. Wouldn't be surprised if The Axiom closes each night against the main headliners. American Football against Frank Carter makes more sense than Pitchshifter imo.
  6. Wow, would literally have preferred anyone else over BFMV.
  7. FFAF announcement is, as to no one's surprise, Causally Dressed in full and in some pretty big venues so most likely ruled out Trees. Also Don Broco and AFI sounds incredibly realistic so I completely buy it. Was kinda hoping for someone else as all 3 of those headliners, and Cave headliners, don't excite me at all. Really hope that they have American Football against Frank Carter as otherwise it's an early finish every night.
  8. Got bored at work and sorted the logo bands into their stages and days Thurs Main - ? / Skindred / The Wonder Years / Bob Vylan / Kid Kapichi / Destory Boys Axiom - EoDM / The Joy Formidable / Martha / Meat Wave / No Devotion / Narrow Head Cave - The Bronx / Svalbard / The Hurt Process Neu - Bad Nerves Forest - Aaron West / Bat Sabbath / Fri Main - ? / Joyce Manor / LostAlone / Heriot Axiom - Rivial Schools / Empire State Bastards / Brutus / The Xcerts / Microwave / Militarie Gun Cave - Cancer Bats / Kublai Khan / Zulu Neu - Crows Forest - De Staat / Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly / The Scratch / Prima Queen Sat Main - Frank Carter / Hundred Reasons / Deaf Havana / Holding Absence / High Vis / Dead Poet Society / Witch Fever Axiom - American Football / Loathe / ASIWYFA / Dream State Cave - Pitchshifter / Chelsea Grin / Casey / One Step Closer Neu - Sprints / The Chisel / Chubby and the Gang Forest - Kneecap Electric Six (they have the Saturday listed on their website but Dick Valentine is playing the Friday so could be either) and Employed to Serve pages are broken and Black Honey are missing on the website hence why they're not on there. If logos placement does indicate stage slotting we're missing Thurs and Fri day main headliners, probably Fri main sub and 3rd down (unless this makes you more convinced that Joyce Manor and Weezer come as a package) and maybe the subs for The Cave on Thurs and Fri. Highly suspect that 3 of the missing bands will fill these slots. Also be note that artists have been moving around. I did a quick one of artists I wanted to see yesterday and I had put down Microwave on the Neu but they're now on The Axiom. Also this was a super tedious process so one or two might be wrong. Might do the alphabetical artists later if I get time later.
  9. Just had a look and when they did both was 2016? Weren't Twin Atlantic replacements for Brand New in 2018? I remember them not being announced until like May because they were at Slam Dunk and I can't see them on the 2018 Download line up. Either way, it's only happened once that I don't think it looks like Neck Deep is likely.
  10. Just double checked and in 2019 they had While She Sleeps headline The Cave against Frank Turner and Mongol Horder (who are bigger than Cancer Bats with the 2000trees audience) headlining The Axiom against You Me at Six. I wouldn't say it's a given yet that Axiom headliners are going to clash with the main. Like I think American Football clashing with Frank makes more sense to me than Pitchshifter. Agreed that Neck Deep are probably ruled out due to Download (don't think a band that has headlined Trees has played Download the same year?) but surely they're not too big based off their billing there? Trees headliners have been billed to be 3rd on main or headline the 2nd there and Neck Deep seem to be playing lower than those unless I'm reading it wrong.
  11. Kind of hoping that American Football clash with Frank Carter. Would be a perfect end to the festival for me. I know The Axiom headliners didn't clash with the main headliners last year but I'm sure in previous years they have. Actually think it was the first time in a long time that it was The Cave headliners clashing with the main headliners last year. Also counted the acts on the line up and I've got 47 acts I want to see (24 are must sees and 23 are ones I am sort of indifferent about) so already dreading the clashes.
  12. Doesn't 2000trees fill this gap? Sure it doesn't have the same draw just yet as bigger festivals but it's slowly getting there. I think Futuresound may have been planning this but have gone for doing Slam Dunk one day and Live at Leeds the other.
  13. Really happy with American Football! Easily my favourite addition today. Also pleased with Employed to Serve, Kublai Khan TX, Graphic Nature, Destory Boys! Easily my favourite line up in years. Also fuck EODM/Jesse Hughes
  14. I don't think most people in here would be ready for a no barrier Trapped Under Ice set
  15. Yeah I know, but there seems to be an weird little mix of Hardcore bands this year. I know it's gotten a bit popular recently but really with the R&L demographic? Knocked Loose, Scowl, Graphic Nature and High Vis (I know not Hardcore but they're really popular in the scene) all seem to stick out. The weird thing about those artists is no Turnstile considering they're in Paris that weekend. If they had Turnstile on Killers day and moved Knocked Loose over to that day as well it probably would have shifted a few day tickets.
  16. Where have people seen the news about a possible announcement tomorrow? Can't see anything on the socials.
  17. Heriot added today. These daily additions have been unusually strong compared to what they normally are.
  18. Militarie Gun today, really happy with that. Brilliant band. Seems like a lot of crossover with Outbreak this year.
  19. Jeremy Corbyn made a speech on the Pyramid in 2017. Artists performing is one thing but having the biggest left wing politician in the country at the time speak on the main stage is far more telling of that festivals political leanings and beliefs.
  20. Know this is a metal thread but with Turnstile putting a bit of a limelight on Hardcore again and Outbreak being the same weekend I feel like there is little excuse or a wasted opportunity to book some of the bands that have managed to break into some crossover appeal. Soul Glo, Scowl, Zulu and Show Me the Body would all be good fits for Glasto, embody the ethos of the festival, have found some recognition outside of the Hardcore community and are at Outbreak. Even an older band like Converge would be a nice fit with Jane Doe being a fairly iconic album within music in general. Not asking for bands like Sunami or Trapped Under Ice to play but the ones above would make great additions in my opinion.
  21. Bane added as final co-headliner with Converge with Defeater, Militarie Gun, Narrow Head, Fury, Buggin, Pest Control and T.S. Warspite.
  22. I highly suspect that they and Origami Angel will do a tour before 2000trees
