  1. Quite a few bands do both Trees and Download. Wouldn't count all those announced for Trees tomorrow out.
  2. Radar festival booker said it in a discord. Didn't see the message myself but some guy on the download forums said that was along the lines of "I know what EC are doing in 2024 and it's bigger than Trees"
  3. 40 bands being announced on Tuesday at 10am
  4. OK line up. TWY, LA Dispute, FFAF, One Step Closer and mom jeans are good for me but nowhere near the 120 mark! Hopefully twickets sorts me out a cheap ticket the morning before.
  5. It's 65 quid for a day ticket or 36 for an evening and given that it's 50 quid to see Gaslight on their own tour, that's pretty good value.
  6. YM@6 are about the same as Shikari, both do small arenas/large academies like Shikari. Actually don't think that Shikari has sold well as they haven't even managed to sell out standing for any of it's shows yet.
  7. Electric Callboy are more likely to be at Slam Dunk. Can't see them at Trees personally, think they'd go down well but just seem like the type of act that the Trees organisers wouldn't go out of their way to book.
  8. The denial and copium that Fall Out Boy aren't a headliner is actually wild.
  9. According to "some guy" on reddit. There is no basis for RATM playing at all. They literally meet the requirements for headlining? Their current arena tour has sold as well and even better than a lot of current download headliners?
  10. How the hell have some of you convinced yourself it might be RATM?
  11. Foos have played Download France, they aren't worried if Download is a perfect fit for them or not. It's more than Foos can do 7 stadiums over June instead of one show at a Download. It's never going to happen.
  12. Every time I see this "leaked" poster the number of pixels and my brain cells decrease.
  13. Headliner getting announced on Tuesday
  14. My money is also on Sleeps but they could also easily be at either Slam Dunk or Download.
  15. Just yes for most of these. Especially Jeff Rosenstock, Hot Mulligan, Spanish Love Songs, La Dispute, Hotelier and TSSF Perfect fit
  16. The one thing that I kept seeing about Trees and amongst my camp is that the headliners this year weren't great but the had a good undercard. I've been going to Trees since 2015 and think there has only been like 5 headliners that I really wanted to see. Headliners are never really the main draw for a lot of people.
  17. They made the announcement for that announcement on the 26th (the Friday) and for 2021 the first announcement was on the 21st of September. Don't think it's coming anytime until some point in September. Can see it maybe being announced as soon as Hot Mulligan and TSSF finish their dates over here.
  18. Paramore instantly sold out their arena tour including 2 nights at the O2. They're bigger than they have ever been. There is literature no chance of them playing.
  19. This isn't really true. Turnstile's rise started during the pandemic and seen a few bands post pandemic gain tremendous hype such as Spiritbox and Sleep Token. Also Shikari are never headlining, they've essentially stagnated in terms of growth and have been playing the same venues for like 8 years now.
  20. Wow, what a bland boring set of headliners. That's me out unless the undercard is amazing.
  21. Considering they got reunited for the 2020 US election and how 2024 will most likely have a UK and US election I feel like it would be a perfect fit for RATM to return.
  22. BFMV are currently headlining 2000trees which has been recently offering massive discounts on the 3 day tickets. They are not headlining Download.
  23. 2000trees have always had limited time sales but these £50-£100 off vouchers are the biggest I've seen (though they were doing £50 off earlier this year). General sentiment amongst our group is the undercard is amazing but headliners and a few of the bigger acts are extremely underwhelming and could be better. Even with some of the more unique undercard, they're touring extensively around 2000trees so they're not impossible to miss. The only "true" exclusive they have got this year are basically Soft Play and The Wonder Years/Aaron West. Tbh, I'm never really a fan of the headliners for most years and most of my mates go so I'm super looking forward to it and it's my favourite line up in ages (baring all of the headliners of course) but I am aware I am in the minority. Still think it's the best small festival in the country and offers a unique experience in the alternative scene.
