  1. Think Bullet were on tour until March and they were presumably waiting on Soft Play before they announced them. The Soft Play included a handful of other bands and Frank Carter was included in the first wave of acts. Think that most fests announce stuff at the end of Jan cos it's the first real post xmas payday etc
  2. Sorta? They normally announce who is ready tbh. Have announced headliners with a bulk of acts plenty of times. Not sure what is holding back these headliners at the moment. They do say when they're including the headliners so pretty sure we're not getting any tomorrow.
  3. Literally the best line up of any festival this year.
  4. Next announcement coming at the end of the month it seems
  5. Poison the Well are the only band that has been confirmed as exclusive to Outbreak (European one) at the moment but that was in a Facebook reply. Can see the following acts also at Trees: Basement, Angel Du$t, Chat Pile, Fiddlehead, Mannequin Pussy, Show me the Body, Sweet Pill, The Hotelier, The World Is A Beautiful Place..., Thursday and Touche. Would have added Balance & Composure but apparently they have 9-5 jobs still so can't see them touring Europe for a few weeks.
  6. Want to see literally every band on the Saturday and Sunday. Friday looking good too but annoyed they aren't doing 3 day passes, missed out on Tier 1 2 day passes as I was trying to find the 3 day tickets
  7. Have Heart / Thursday / JPEGMAFIA X Danny Brown is my final guess
  8. I don't think so unless they want to announce Sleep Token straight off the back of their Wembley show. We had an announcement at the end of this November, was small but the number of names is roughly the same as this time last year.
  9. Taking Back Sunday are playing the same size venues as The Wonder Years and Creeper and like half the cities compared to both's November tours. No way they headline.
  10. If the only option is for them to play the Sunday I doubt Outbreak are going to say no and there nothing stopping them from doing Oslo on Friday then Outbreak on the Saturday. Anyways, I suspect that they're the final Jera headliner on the Saturday. Seems like a shoe in for the Sunday unless they're doing Glasto instead.
  11. How does that rule them out for Outbreak? It's the same weekend, pretty sure that makes them more likely.
  12. Their statement on Facebook explicitly says they're going to release new music "While Matt moves on, the rest of us have come out of our recent ’20 Years Casually Dressed’ anniversary tour with a renewed spark and desire to create new music together, for the first time in this lineup for many years. We’ll keep you updated on that in due course, but suffice it to say that we wouldn’t be entertaining new music if we didn’t feel the material we’re currently writing would hold up to the legacy of what we created back in the day. We hope you agree with us on that, and look forward to sharing with you next year." Also confirmed in their statement on Facebook "As far as Slam Dunk Festival next May, we’re very pleased to share that we’ll be joined on vocals for those shows by our excellent Welsh brother Lucas Woodland, of the wonderful Holding Absence. We’re honoured that he’s lending us his immense talents for the weekend, and know that he’ll do Matty proud. We’re stoked for what will be an incredibly exciting and unique couple of performances that weekend."
  13. That's what Trees say but I don't believe it. Gaslight is their biggest international headliner so far (have been a few large academy/small arena headliners but they have all been British), Deftones and Bizkit are a step up from that and the biggest headliner they would have got. They could easily sub the main or headline second at Download, 3rd on main or subbing 2nd is approx Trees headline level for the biggest acts. I think Bizkit were even approached by Download and they turned it down, really can't see Trees offering them a better deal. Also Biffy would never be sweet talked into doing Trees, would kill their chances of headlining a major fest ever again.
  14. Dream State also added to the Wednesday.
  15. Extremely unlikely and doubt will ever happen. Bit too big for Trees and Prima is the only EU date so far. Chino doing Crosses after it seems. If Download couldn't get them, then Trees sure ain't. Again, too big for Trees.
  16. Blink-182 with Turnstile and Pheobe Bridgers/boygenius on the one of the days would be perfect for me.
  17. Wasn't CMIK in full. Was 10 years of CMIK and I Wish I Could Stay Here set. Played a set with songs mainly on the album with 3 songs off Promise Anything (for some reason). British bands doing other festivals around the same time as Trees doesnt mean much tbh. I still think they're more likely to show at Download.
  18. Not too sure on what the licensing on the name will be like but the building will still remain open as a venue. Think that electric music group have said they wanted to move away from the club nights to it being more focused on gigs again. The only real thing threatened by the take over was it loosing it's independent status which it's owners made out would be the end of the venue forever and seemed willing to take down the venue itself and all it's staff with them. Honestly, if it's going to move towards booking a variety of shows again it might actually be a positive result for the gig culture in Sheffield.
  19. Until either of them get announced as headlining the stage I'm choosing to live in blissful ignorance. Though I do think Hot Mulligan are big enough to headline The Axiom but unsure about Better Lovers. Get it's a big super group but hard to say if they're bigger than The Cave headliners for this year.
  20. I swear to god if either Hot Mulligan or Better Lovers clash with The Gaslight Anthem I'm gonna riot.
  21. Is it usually the case though? Seems to always been a case by case. Had Axiom clashing for 2 days and Cave for 1 in 2019 and this year, just the Axiom for one day in 2018 (Cave didn't clash either 2 days), and The Axiom clashing with both main headliners in 2017. Just had the Cave clashing everyday last year and people and for some reason people assumed that it's always that way.
  22. DICE has the artists listed for each day. 23. Tbf Trees books quite a few emo artists every year. But out of your list Marietta and mewithoutYou have broken up now and the guy from McAfferty is a f**king prick and can stay well away from the festival.
