  1. McFly. Mc is a common prefix for Scottish last names and Flys should be spelt flies.
  2. Music started at 1 on the Fri and around noon on the the other 2 days last year but they had more artists playing. Think they're going to release the set times soon.
  3. Honestly doubt you'll get a spot with decent sound or view if you dont get there early for AW. It'll be absolutely rammed. Apart from Ithaca I've got no one else I want to see on early so me and my mates might just bunker down at the Forest early and chill for there. Wouldn't miss AW for the world, met my best friend at the 2000trees during the AW set in 2017 so gonna have a good time there!
  4. Aaron West clash with the end of Ithaca, Narrow Head and the start of Graphic Nature is brutal for me as they're all 4 of my must sees that day. Oh well, going to be Aaron West then run for the end of Graphic Nature I guess.
  5. Listen to Pupil Slicer and ditch your mates. They sound like a disgusting mix of Dillinger, Converge and Car Bomb aka some hard hitting Mathcore.
  6. Paramore were phenomenal last night as usual. If they headlined I'd 100% go for the day.
  7. Clense that palette with the new Jesus Piece album as it absolutely rips
  8. Oh yeah I'm fully not expecting Limp Bizkit whatsoever and it's certainly based purely on hopes. Knowing me if they are waiting for a bigger name it'll be someone naff like Sabaton.
  9. I prefer my theory of waiting until the Limp Bizkit tour to be finished so they can be announced.
  10. Trying to get a cheap ticket closer to the time but my plan would be Sincere Engineer > end of Heriot > Higher Power > SeeYouSpaceCowboy > Spanish Love Songs > Fireworks > Trophy Eyes > Real Friends > Underoath/Boston Manor/Landmvrks > Four Year Strong > The Menzingers > We Came as Romans > Yellowcard > The Offspring Nice day but most of the bands that are must sees are really low down and really after The Menzingers, I'm not particularly bothered by anything.
  11. Will see Press to Meco for sure and maybe Holding Absence and Bob Vylan that day but that's it. Wednesday is mainly getting settled and having a chill one for me so I'm ok with that.
  12. The general layout change is far different. Camping is now all in one area with them removing the camp rueban area and expanding the camp turner section. Forest Stage has completely changed allowing them to put on full bands there, some people like this others don't as it's not really a place to chill out like before. Capacity has improved and some people think the crowd has changed with it. I haven't noticed a general shift in attitudes in the crowd myself (been going since 2015) but I feel like this was a common complaint last year. Also I believe the car park is further back compared to previous years? Festival has gone cashless, like most other festivals, with payments all done on chips on the wristbands but the system functions well so no complaints from most. Some people have complained about it but they clearly weren't there when thefts were super rampant as those have died down significantly now. Festival generally feels bigger on Thursday and more in line with the other 2 days (all stages and nightlife) and with the Weds being like the Thursday of old. Still a silent disco the Weds but only one stage and finishes early. There is less night time stuff on that day, like there is only one silent disco stage and it finishes early and I don't think there's any acoustic sets that day either? It's still a really good festival and my favourite in the country. EDIT: Just remembered that silent cinema is now longer there. Can't remember any other changes apart from those.
  13. They missed Owen off the list of new artists but that's the full line up. Owen, Love is Noisy and Gaffa Tape Sandy all decent additions. Aside from the headliners, really strong line up. Hoping that The Axiom closes against the main this year so I can end with this Soft Play / Rival Schools / American Football
  14. Probably from the looks of things yeah. Depends on who you planning on seeing so far but I'm just gonna recommend Narrow Head and Fleshwater to everyone as both of those bands are so good.
  15. Soft Play, Bullet for my Valentine and Frank Carter is such a bland trio. Hope Owen is a forest set.
  16. True but aren't Thrice bigger than Thursday? Last time Thursday played the UK was just 2 dates at electric ballroom. That being said, Thursday seem like the kind of band the organisers love and if they billed Thursday as an UK exclusive show of War All the Time then they would probably do it. Would still be a weak headliner but seems plausible. Although ATG have also capitalised Thursday in the announcement posts today so maybe we shouldn't read too much into this "clue"
  17. His UK tour ends next tomorrow so it looks incredibly likely to be him.
  18. Both bands have got a few shows this summer. Fleshwater and Koyo are doing a UK/EU in June/July, Militarie Gun are supporting Rival Schools in London in July and both are also playing 2000trees.
  19. Although ATG are also announcing on Thursday and in the email they sent out they did bold "Thursday 10am" so maybe we shouldn't read too much into that "clue".
  20. Operation Ivy are a classic Ska Punk band but they broke up in 1989 and never reunited so it's incredibly unlikely to be them. Anways, the money they'd ask for would be ridiculous. If they would play a festival it would be headlining Riot in the US, not Trees.
  21. The Interrupters are playing in Madrid on the Thursday so it's not them. Also left than 300 4 day tickets left
  22. Well that rules out Don Broco. Just gonna guess that it's AFI as I have no clue at this point.
  23. Spielbergs have gone on an indefinite hiatus and cancelled all of their upcoming shows.
  24. Touche Amore fully ruled out now with those tour dates. Maybe La Dispute could do 3rd on main? Still got their tour in April.
  25. There might be 20-30 but looking at the clashfindee and comparing to last year there is approximately: Weds - The whole Word stage (7) Thurs - 2 for Main, 2 for The Cave, 1 for The Axiom (5) Fri - 5 for Main, 1 for Neu (6) Sat - no room for anyone except on Forest and Word. Which for Main, Cave, Axiom and Neu puts us to around 17 left to be announced for those stages and presumably the rest will come from Forest Stage sets (though this is hard to guess as lots of artists do double second sets here). Also worth noting that The Cave and The Axiom both have 9 acts on it for the Saturday. If we're assuming that we don't know what stages are closing this year then (i.e. last Cave had 9 acts per day and Axiom had 8 per day) we might be getting an extra artist per a day. So it's pretty tight at the moment. Though that's pretty irrelevant for End It as I've just seen that they're at Ieper Fest on the Friday. Could do the Thursday but I doubt it.
