We should buy @gooner1990 and @Harmonic Prospector drinks at the eFest meet! Ace reporters.

We have been handed cards to put our questions on and they will be taken by member of staff before being read to the panel
Q1 What's the whole line-up?
Q2 Is it all right if I leave now?

Fred Again is headlining somewhere… sorry don’t know where
Yes, Reading/Leeds

If we do an infinite number of fake line up posters, one will be correct. Then we can all be smug and say we told you so....

Probably Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, 5 stages I can recall:
On the Pyramid Field (Next to the eFestival football match)
Avalon Stage (Numerous times)
Avalon Cafe
Outside a shop near the Bandstand
Busking somewhere

In the very privileged position of an easy arrival on the Sunday afternoon, no queues no hassle, CV already registered for access, do some work Monday & Tuesday and explore the crew bars for the very first time. Who knows, it may never happen again, so I'd like to get round as many of them as I can!

OK, spoke to my boss...he's agreed I can go to the talk with Emily on Thurs at 2pm. 🙂
Will hopefully be allowed to keep my phone on to relay info. 🙂
Good stuff! A simple video message from Emily to eFestivals with all the inside info will suffice!

How do we pronounce SZA?
👵
As per the full meaning, it would be Saviour Zig-Zag Allah (having Googled it)

If I was booking Glastonbury, I wouldn't be having Coldplay back this year.
But from every other metric, it just makes sense, I guess.
Their likely booking may also help the festival to take more of a risk on newer, less established acts (Such as SZA)

Is it worth adding SZA as at least a Rumour now too?
Yes, I already have, it’ll show on the page soon.

@Avalon_Fieldshow come Keane aren’t listed in the rumours?
They’re on my lengthy list of ‘GSH’ and possibles which is due to be added as another category but hasn’t happened yet due to technical issues I understand. I agree they should be added as a Rumour.

On Fatboy Slim, is the TBA Park a thing a again or it just says that at this stage?
It’s been listed as that for some time, I haven’t changed it because I’ve not heard of any different info, I probably should get rid of the Park reference because it doesn’t sound legit to me.

Hmmm.... so pushing for all female headliners then?
Which is perfectly fine, but if it’s a total mess trying to achieve this for 2024 it’s not too clever. And certainly from the outside it’s giving the impression of being a mess. I hope there’s a grand masterplan* in place that’s yet to be revealed.
All other festivals seem to have all their line-ups sorted without undue drama.
*that’s no reference to the Gallagher bros. -

For anyone concerned about the future of Glastonbury, for me, bookings like Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa and SZA (potentially) headlining the Pyramid and Wizkid headlining the Other Stage go some distance to safeguard it. There comes a point in time where you have to accept that something is no longer predominantly aimed towards you. You can either embrace those changes and get on board with it, seek out the areas that you still get value from or do something new. I've said it before, but I really think we're on the cusp of the festival moving into a new phase of its evolution. And as someone who'd like to see it continue well into the next decade, whether I attend or not, I think it's exciting.
Totally agree. It would be a disaster if the festival didn't move with the times. It would be a slow death. I'm perfectly happy if the headliners and much of the line-up doesn't match my taste in music, I'll still have a great time. More importantly, the festival needs to attract a younger audience.

I see the Kings of Leon dates....so what was made of all their Glastonbury Instagram reels being posted? Just a coincidental promotion of their tour?
-
SZA, probably a gamble, but what the hell, I find a relatively unknown act (to me at least) quite exciting! I'd check her out, and then slink off to something more in my comfort zone if need be.
