  1. I love the Wednesday and Thursday, more relaxed and combined with all the anticipation. If the weather is fine I’ll spend some time at the Croissant Neuf Bandstand, Greenpeace and Green Futures - have a tea in the Small World - and up to Strummerville for a beer.

Would you really though? Sounds a tad like hyperbole to me. If I had a ticket I wouldn’t throw it back in after this years poster because there’s enough there, it’s not a good line up but there’s enough. There’s no way I’m paying £360 for a festival with no music though nor am I paying that for a music festival with no acts I know.

    Yes I would.

  3. I definitely wouldn’t give up my ticket even if there were no acts on the poster I wish to see. Even if the impossible happened and there was no music for me, I’d spend the time in Theatre & Cabaret, and go to every bar!

  4. West Holts remains the most unpredictable stage, but also the most rewarding, in my view. I often watch the first act on each day, whoever it is, to start the day off.

    They are at Bearded Theory

Yes, and if I don’t seen them there I’ll hope to at Glastonbury. I’ve never seen them play and I do have misgivings but just 3-4 of their classics would be enough for me to go.

I think sometimes the fake posters get peoples expectations out of whack. Would love someone at the festival to do a costing of some of the fake posters.

We're living in a time when the cost of live music is through the roof. I mean the cheapest ticket to see The Corrs in Manchester is £93 and they haven't done anything in years! Hopefully it's an anomaly and will stabilise in time but if it continues like that we either need to adjust expectations or be willing to pay a much higher ticket price.

A very good point. The fake posters are usually easy to spot as they’re completely unrealistic. There’s already about 15 acts on the line up I’d like so see so the festival remains excellent value for money compared to arena gigs.

  7. I don’t have any headliners that I’d find unmissable. Hoping for one or two in Avalon or Acoustic, and do one on the Pyramid. Beyond that I fancy a change and be somewhere different. Croissant Neuf, Bimble Inn, Greenpeace, Silver Heyes…

  8. As I’m camped far away, it’s really dependent on the weather as to getting up to The Park a few times. Several acts I’d hope to catch, probably the main one is Lankum (Best album 2023 in the Guardian and elsewhere), but it’ll be a dark and brooding set so not to big a crowd I’d guess.

  9. Thanks everyone who helped with our rumours page. For reference I'll keep these figures for future years:

We identified 37% of the acts on the poster as a rumour or strong rumour

If you include the GSH's we identified, it's up to 46%

Yes, I guess it is, but I think they have to, it's going nowhere if they wheel out all the geriatric rock acts year of year. Where would Reading/Leeds be if they hadn't changed too? I don't reckon there's anywhere else to go but to appeal to a younger audience.

Reminds me of when those Doomsday profits predict the world will end on a certain  day.....

    Then have to hastily re-calculate.

It’s going to be a close run thing the way it’s going, bit of a downer if Doomsday is 07:59 tomorrow.
