They may be opposite each other but are still a fair distance away so if you’re right in front of one you’re basically way too far back to really see/hear the other (iirc - haven’t been since ‘17 so pretty hazy on that).

Ahh i see. I think i took someone 'turn around' comment literally!

Cant wait now, nothing better than arriving at a festival for the first time and having a mooch around, completely aimlessly soaking up everything thats to come for the net few days.

  2. With the two main stages being opposite one another, do you get people who stand at the back for the act currently on in preparation of being at the front for the next act when everyone turns round?

What i'm picturing right now seems bonkers - but will actually kinda work?

Does it actually work? I rarely take any form of medication, even paracetamol only get a run out if desperate. A combo of Gaviscon and cider could be the solution I'm looking for.

I’ve found the trick is to take it with the first cider of the day, with plenty of top ups throughout. Waiting till you have heartburn to take one ends up a losing battle.

What’s the reasoning behind being able to bring bottles in but not the lids? So you can’t smuggle alcohol in as easily? Just can’t get my head around it.

I was once told that it’s for health and safety purposes.

Stand on a lid-less bottle on the ground and it collapses under foot. Stand on one full of liquid or air and, if you catch it right, you’re back flipping in seconds.

I’ve never checked out the validity of this but I kind of makes sense? I always assumed it was to prevent them being thrown.

wow 80%, i knew it was a lot but not that high!

Yep. 80% Brits abroad sounds rather problematic doesn't it, but must admit in all the times ive been ive never seen anything untoward. Lots of them not pacing themselves in the midday sun, yes, but its usually one of the most jovial and merry crowds ive experienced at a festival.

Hoping it's not the end as it's always been our groups 'holiday' for the year. No alternative planed for this year, so hoping for a stellar lineup in 23 and an end to the barbaric charge to use the toilets and re-renter the arena.

(im hopeful that the more i keep banging on about this someone from the festival will see it and remove it for next year)

What percentage of goers are from the UK? Given the difficulties caused by Brexit, it really may just run out of steam completely as if i'm not wrong its very reliant on brits

80% including the Irish I’d say? It’s effectively a British festival in the sun.

yeah I have wondered if Brexit will have an effect on it. I feel this year will have struggled because of the brits post-covid cautiousness with overseas travel. People been a little hesitant to book trips abroad (never mind festivals) in case another lockdown / cancellation happened. That couple with a dog shit lineup certainly wouldn’t have helped.

It refers to slots that mostly DJs play on the Far Out Stage and Walled Garden (the 2nd and 3rd biggest stages) after the headliners (so like between 1 am and 4 am).

    ahh brilliant, thanks for that.

Thought both would have worked either during the day or after dark but at least thats my late night entertainment sorted 🙂

Loving her so far!  La Perla is great.

Sure is, absolute belter that got me through lockdown last year! We caught her at Lost Village festival last year and she climbed out from the stage and starting crowd surfing during that song, was absolutely joyous to see on the final day of the festival and helped picked up the weary crowd for sure!

First time attending Green Man so not sure if im missing something, but on the Instagram post is says 'after dark extraordinaires' for the two artists i mentioned in my previous post. Is this referring to a stage / time slot?

Im freaking out The Long Blondes are on this is fantastic news

Thought the name rang a bell, just checked my spotify and i'd shazamed and saved these a few weeks back from hearing them on 6 music!

Taking a hit on this One but anybody know the best way of selling tickets and camping? I purchased the VIP tickets x2 with everything included and gone for the glamping bell tent. If anybody has any advice of selling or anybody who is interested I would love to find out. Cheers guys 🤘🏻😁

Id imagine your best bet is advertising it on their social media pages, probably at a considerable loss mind you 😞

In the past when we've had spares we've offloaded them to other friends, or on the few occasions the festival sold out we sold them from advertising on the socials.

An absolute shambles of a lineup, shame to see the festival has gone to the shits, what with this and the ridiculous charging for showers etc. The name acts from this year's poster would usually be seen all in one evening as opposed to spread out across 4 days. No big headliners either. Such a shame as used to love going or at least keeping an eye out.

It’s the charging for showers and re-entering the arena that did it for me. Did 9 on the bounce and some of the best years were those with the worst lineups!

Did anyone else notice they sent an email out at the start of the month with a questionnaire for 2023? Clearly an indication that this year has flopped if they’re already focusing on next years festival.

  12. Another flash sale, use the code SUMMER for £20 off any ticket. Just checked and this even works on the existing 4 for 3 tickets off, meaning each ticket is less than £100 (before booking fee)

Got a feeling this isn't selling too well....

This is not always a successful technique.
This year it seemed to work, reusing the link found previously and which was functional early. It was already working when I posted at 8:59 in this topic:

But in previous years, when you arrived too early (before the official start of the sale), the button to process to the next booking step did not appear, and it was impossible to go further. And by refreshing, you found yourself facing the holding page.

So i managed to get to the enter registration details page from some link i used on Thursday just before 9am, however when i tried clicking proceed after entering them it kept sending me to the dreaded holding page. I kept going back and forth for about 5 minutes before deciding i was wasting my time and should therefore leave the page completely and start from scratch.

    Should i have continued?

All good in the end though, friend got through around 9:15 for the final 3 tickets we needed, leaving us with 14/14 tickets - first ever 100% record i believe?
