    I think my main point is - QOTSA or no QOTSA, in my opinion would have made potentially 0-1 % difference in ticket sales. There are other acts on that poster at the moment that don't look likely..... CHVRCHES for instance (who incidentally i'd watch over QOTSA) are very unlikely to be there. You're only likely to buy a ticket on the QOTSA day to see them if you're a massive QOTSA fan and if you're that much of a fan - you know they aren't going to be there. We all know this is the case. I'd imagine Mad Cool will announce a final re arranged line up all in one go rather than chop and change the line up week after week. One band does not make a festival ................ although that is a but debatable because David Bowie got replaced by the Darkenss when i went to T in the park LOL. In saying that - it only takes one person from any band to test positive for covid on the day - and you wont be seeing them anyway!

    I'm not 100% sure that QOTSA or no QOTSA would have made much difference at all in ticket sales - for example Weds and Thurs tickets are selling like hotcakes / sold out and the Fri didn't / isn't. I think any festival has a lot to deal with at the moment in terms of bands, schedules etc. For all we know QOTSA may not have confirmed to MC that they aren't playing - its unlikely but we don't know for sure. They have a history or things like this but as long as i get to go to festival this year - after past years - i'll be happy If they change the venue last minute ........................ then i might have something to say LOL

    I'll be honest when i went to the festival in 2018 there was a queue for Taxis and Uber cars that was over an hour long and we didn't move. We were a similar distance form you to the festival. In the end we decided to walk. we walked for 10 minutes and saw a taxi - flagged it down, jumped in and paid 10 euros. We did this the following 3 nights too - taxis are coming on their way to the festival site 10 to the dozen so just walk the opposite direction to the taxi queues and flag one that is on its way to the festival site - they'll stop and pick you up = no queuing That's my advice.

    I love Volbeat but they are generally better known in certain european countries. In the UK and Spain would they be Headliners?

    That is only for the Fri - Sat - Sun though Although it still works out OK-ish if you bought two single tickets for the Weds - Thurs and a lovers pack

    I spoke to mad cool direct who said definitively NO more weekend tickets going in sale Then less than 2 weeks later I checked the website and they were on sale. I had six in my basket - made 2 phone calls and then all it would let me buy was 2. I think I got the last 2 available then. However it still proved they were full of it and although a general resale might not happen - I would recommend checking g the website daily early afternoon, that’s what I did and one day they were just there and available good luck

    I think this could be the case for a lot of artists. However this pandemic changes so quickly in terms of whats going on. When you're in the position Bruce is in you can pick and choose what you want to do, some artists aren't that lucky

    With FNM dropping out and a lot of the headliners being of a similar ilk - I personally would love to see Mad Cool change it up a bit with and electric act - Chemical Brothers spring to mind.

    Everything on the website still says it is at the original site. The fact there is an extra day is the “news that will change the festival forever” as far as I’m concerned but with mad cool who knows 😂😂

    Basically what we have learned from Mad Cool over the past years is that unless it’s on the poster - guessing what their Marketing team are on about is worthless Infact even when names make the poster, the shoddy marketing has led to them NOT appearing. The full line up will be here some enough

    These tease posts work best when you take them at face value, don't over evaluate them and consider that the word "boss" could have been used for a magnitude of reasons. Iooked at the other templates and one says mark X here and X here - does this mean the XX are playing? I've learned over the years not to get your hopes up and........... this is greatly magnified when its "Mad Cool". LOL

    In terms of Headliners i originally had both Billie Eyelish and RHCP as pretty much nailed on for this. With the line up as it is I can see Billie on 7th as the Top headliner and originally had RHCP on the 9th However with Muse and Metallica announced, I am now not sure on RHCP

    Hey Everyone, I know it is highly likely (like 100%) that tickets will go on resale before the festival, however, if anyone has tickets and their plans change for any reason I would buy them at face value. plus maybe a tad more for considering me. I am sure I'll get some in a resale but thought id put it out here just in case 1) they don't have one or 2) I miss it. Ideally id be looking for 4 tickets but 3 would be fine also Take care and stay cool everyone

    Kasabian DO have a front man........its Serge. Tom isn't there because he decided it was a good idea to abuse his partner. Kasabian are on tour in the UK and are not playing Stadiums or arenas, they are playing smaller venues, anticipating the fact that many people will not be as interested if Tom is not there. I'm pretty sure that if they play festivals, they would be accepting in the fact that headline and main stage slots will not be the norm anymore.
